SOURCE: 2000 Isuzu Rodeo speedometer and odometer notworking. fuel light flashing with gas in it

Go to Auto Zone and they'll scan the truck for you for free. If it's the speed sensor, that's not hard to replace, just unclip the wire harness and remove the old speed sensor on the left rear side of the put put shaft to the transmission. Auto zone caould give you more finer details on to how to do it your self instruction.
The fuel gauge sensor is a part of the fuel pump and that's going to be costly. If your luck it could just be a stuck float and in time the float me start working again. The other thing to is to check the wire harness from the frame rail to the gas tank, after time the winter salt carrodes the connection and it may need to be replaced.
I found most of the time when we work on changing the fuel pump, 65% of the time it's only the wire harness and the pump is fine. But customers always get the new pump and wire harness.
Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1997 Isuzu rodeo-dashboard light/air cond, heat not blowing

Easy fix. Usually the blower motor resistor gets messed up. (Page 3-8 Haynes manual 47017). The dash light could be a few things. All my bulbs went bad. Little bit of a hassle but no problem with the book.

SOURCE: replace the alternator on a 97 isuzu rodeo

from Yahoo answers
The alternator is located on the passenger side of the motor at the bottom. There is a bracket attached to the motor and the alternator. You need not take the bracket off to remove the alternator. Two bolts hold the alternator to the bracket. One bolt is on the front top of the alternator and one bolt is located on the bottom front of the alternator. The bottom front bolt is attached to the tension adjustment for the alternator. Loosen the tension screw then remove the bolt going through the tension adjustment. After you loosen the top, front bolt, the alternator should be loose enough to move side to side. Remove the top, front bolt. Now you must disconnect the alternator from the power supply. Behind the alternator is a screw with a wire attached via nut. Remove this wire. Nextly there is a series of wires with a plug on the end. It is plugged into the side of the alternator. Uplug this item. You can also access both of these from the passenger side front tire well. Something to consider is that remanufactured alternators in Rodeo's as well as the Honda Passport (which has the same engine as the Rodeo) do not work and the problem(s) associated with a bad alternator,ie; not charging, no fan blower, battery light and brake light on, still exsist after replacing alternator with reman. Use a factory original alternator if possible. It will cost a little more than a reman but will most likely save you a lot of time and headache!

Hope this helps you out!!

I have a 1991 Isuzu Rodeo and i cant find a speedometer cable at a parts house. does my truck even have a speedometer cable or is it called something else?

Hello.....well...unfortunately....this is generally a Dealer only part..There are some universal cables that some aftermarket stores can get...but there is just too much guess work involved...you know..it could be too long...too short...some work with 2 wheel drive....some work with 4 wheel drive...Yea....your best bet is to check with an Isuzu dealership to be sure to get the right speedometer cable....Ok...I hope this was helpful....let me know how it goes....PEACE!!!!!

try checking out your blower speed control resistors. follow your power wire from blower to the resistors, to locat, should be in duct in front of blower for cooling. I hope this helps, if the resistors pack is good only think else is a bad switch
