Rt rear window won't roll up.

I have a 2003 New Beetle Convertible. The right rear window won't come up. From the noise, it appears that it is trying. Could it be off track? If so, is this difficult to fix?

Rear window on convertible goes half way up and then down again

I had the same problem. If your beetle comes with pinch protection on the windows (like mine) it will automatically roll back down if anything gets in the way when it rolls up. Try and check to see if anything is in the way causing this to happen.

Same problem with 99

Try running a hose on the driver's door window to see if the drain hoeles in the driver's door are plugged. Also check the drain holes in the rear window and trunk lid drains. If one of the drain holes is plugged the water will seek the next easiest way to drain (which might be to the iside of your VW Beetle.
