How to start a 2004 Chevy Tahoe without key? - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

It should be in your manual. But if not I know a tahoe you have to turn the key to on position for 10 sec. Turn back to off and wait 1 min. And repeat 3 times

GM OIL LIFE SYSTEM - RESETTING
Reset the oil life monitor when the oil has been changed, use the following procedure.
1. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position.
2. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
3. If the Change Oil Soon light flashes, the system is resetting.
4. Start the vehicle.
5. The oil life will change to 100%.
6. If the Change Oil Soon light comes back on, the system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

Check to see if the security light is flashing. If it is turn the ignition on, but don't try to start it. let it set for ten minutes, do this three times with out taking the key out of the ignition. After the third time your vehicle should start. If not let me know and we can go from there.

When your vehicle says : unknown driver, instead of Driver 1 or driver 2, you have had your battery totally dead. so dead that all the programming was lost, the part about not staying started, or not going into gear is a bit baffling, unless your alternator is the real problem, and the battery has just enough charge to barely start your truck, and may need to be fully charged first and stay running . You will need to do remote and seat reprogramming, when you get this figured out

you will have to write your vehicles vin number down wich is if you look throught the windshild on the drivers side you will see it its a little plate with numbers but right down the vin number and take you drivers license and Registration with you to the chevy dealer ship and request the remote for that vehicle. and they should be able to get you one. as far as i know the remote is the only way to get the alarm off. leave the key on for about 5 to10 min then try to start. Are reset to computer by leaving the key on for 10 min and try to start the vehical.Do this procese 3 time then it shold reset
