There two places where fuses and relays can be found 1 in the engine bay just above the battery there is a flat square box. Lift the lid from The lower right corner. 2. There is a panel on the dash at about knee height between the steering wheel and the door. Grip in the middle and pull up. The door relay/fuse should be labelled door control.

SOURCE: 2001 Hyundai Elantra door locking problem

there is a short or a signal from the un-locking switch that is triggering your locks.

you have a switch manually to lock and un-lock your doors, the unlocking circuit is making contact.

you can try playing with your switch to un-short the switch or open it up ang check it.

Sounds like either a switch is stuck in the lock position or there is a short in a wire, or possibly even the BCM might be shorted.

POWER DOOR LOCK RELAYS

Dear fellow Elantranians,
I am an original owner of a 2002 Elantra (w/anti-theft module/ETACS), and have wrestled with the same problem for months: remote will unlock, but not lock doors.
The answer to the problem, at least in my case, was a door lock relay (Part #95250-2D000) located behind the center dash, to the right and below the radio and heater/AC controls (removal and replacement reasonably easy). A simple removal of one bolt and a wire connector, and the little devil is exorcised. It's been working without a hitch for more than two weeks, and expect it to continue for eleven years as the original relay did. I purchased this relay from a local salvage yard for $14.00, but a Hyundai dealership (jimellishyundaiparts.com), will sell it to you for $36.00.
Respectfully,
Lucky Elantanian

This particular vehicle is equipped with two relays. One is the "door lock" and the other is the "door Unlock."

Have a qualified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose your vehicle's problem.
