Possible causes:

It is more likely the solenoid, the PCM is very seldom the problem, about 3% of the time to be exact.

Check the relay switches it can be the fuel pump switch. I had the same problem and have the same year too it is an easy thing to replace. Advanced Auto can order it for you and I suggest taking it in and having it hooked to a computer if that does not solve the issue at hand. The price on the relay switch is around 45 dollars. A starter switch is around 16 dollars try getting them both. It may or may not work but seems to be the same problem I had. Good Luck.

Sounds like the solenoid not grounded if you try to start and all it does is click then the solenoid is not grounded and if it's built on to the starter which it might be you might have to replace the starter. Try cleaning the wires going to the starter before you buy a new they may be corroded.

you also have a coil and a ignition module that could be keeping you from getting spark. also there needs to be a trigger to fire the system usually a crank sensor have seen it run from a cam sensor though
