SOURCE: 95 subaru impreza ;speedometer quit, engine light stays on

i had this problem with mine if your cable spins wen the car is moving its not the gear box end or the cable its the speed sensor in the speedo its self its very easy to fix you have to strip the speedo out of the case the sensor is only small and on the under side of the speedo the sensor is about 50 mm long and 10 mm wide change that and it should be ok
oh remember to reset your ecu

SOURCE: Changing the park and spotlight bulbs on 1996 Impreza WRX

i had the same problem with my 2003 wrx you have 2 choices on how to fix it the first is take the car to a subaru dealer and they can do it for you. Or you can do it yourself like this under the bonnet at the front of the grill you'll see a row of clips first you have to pop them out to remove the grill fully from the car that will give you access to the 3 or 4 bolts holding the light to the car you have to undo these bolts and remove the entie light from the car this will give you fully access to the park light fixture simply twist it so it pops out the headlight and replace the bulb ..... the spot lights are the same remove the grill and the headlight from the car this makes a gap if you look threw and down this gap you will see the back of the spot light fixture simply twist (unclip it depending on the year of the car) it to remove it and replace the bulb once you have done this bolt the headlight back in and clip the grill back into place

SOURCE: subaru impreza automatic transmission won t shift

Try replacing the transmission filter and the trannie fluid. Mine would only go in reverse, and now it drives pretty well. This year has a screw on filter. Hope this helps

1997 Subaru Impreza Tail lights work but brake lights don't even though the Hatch brake light is working

Hi,
So, both sides are not working? Check for voltage @ the brake light bulb to see if you're getting power. Also, look in the fuses.

check out the online Subaru forums, too.

Brake lights won't work on 93 Subaru impreza. Fuse ok, bulbs ok. Brake light switch replaced 1 yr ago

Mr. Williams since you tried with fuse, bulbs and brake light switch with no success, why you do not try to check your circuit by using a tester and see whether you have any broken wire or bad earth?

If the switch keeps melting, the heavy draw is down steam, not up steam.
The most likely is too bright of bulbs in the brake light sockets in back.
You can replace them with LED bulbs for only a little bit more, and it would probably stop the problem. But if not, you could install a relay. The switch would turn the relay on and off, and the relay would turn the bulbs on and off. Not hard to do.
