As the post said earlier they went to a ford shop.... I suggest to have your vehicle inspected elsewhere. maybe have your o rings replaced and your fuel system cleaned.

suspect 'mass air flow' sensor or possibly a rip in the air duct from the air filter to the throttle body. this sensor, if bad, can definitely cause stalling/rough running and is notoriously difficult to diagnose, as an intermittent failure often does not throw a code to trip the chk engine lite. the sensor is located immediately next to the air filter box and has a connector of approx 6-8 wires going into it. one quick and dirty way to elicit a problem (if there is one) is to gently rap on the metal housing of the sensor w/ the handle of a screwdriver or a small light hammer. it is advised to avoid hitting the flat plastic part on the sensor (where the wire connector is inserted) since there is sensitive silicon circuitry underneath and you could potentially break something that may not have been broken already.

I'm having the same problem, so far what i can come up with is the IAC system ( intake air control) either the IAC valve or the stepper motor that the IAC valve sits on. I have already replaced valve and it is comming up code 35 IAC system. I'm thinking now i have to replace the stepper motor.
