2006 trailblazer ss automatic transmission problem

Hello,
My truck is a 6.0 awd suv and a friend of mine took out the truck for a spin(with a lead foot) and brought it back with the transmission messed up.here is what it does now. when you put it in drive it does not go forward also in third it doesn't move, once you put it in 1st or 2nd it will work fine.the weird thing is that once you take off in first gear you can change it to 2nd gear and then in 3rd gear and then in drive without any problems. but once you come to a stop and try to drive off in drive again , it doesnt go.
please tell me its not expensive to fix this!!!

thanks ,
Richard.

You friend broke the low one way clutch. He was rolling backwards and shifted into drive and floored it before the vehicle came to a stop.

Where is 1-2shift solenoid valve located on a Saturn Vue 3.6

The 1-2 shift solenoid valve on a Saturn Vue 3.6 is typically located in the transmission. The exact location of the solenoid valve can vary depending on the year and model of the vehicle, but it is commonly found inside the transmission's valve body. The valve body is the area of the transmission that houses the shift valves and controls the flow of transmission fluid to control the gear shifts.
It's important to note that accessing and replacing a shift solenoid valve on a transmission can be a difficult and complex task that requires special tools and knowledge. It is not recommended to attempt this repair unless you have experience working on transmissions and have the proper tools and equipment. It's also important to consult the Saturn Vue 3.6 service manual or a professional mechanic or transmission specialist to have the proper steps and safety procedures to follow.

2006 chevrolet trailblazer ss: - i brought it in to have the transmission serviced - i brought it in a few days later so they could check the level of the fluid, they said it was too high and they drained...

Best guess is that you have a leak in the transmission oil cooler which is located inside the radiator. It's forcing coolant into the transmission. If that's the case, it may have already damaged the transmission

I'd like to have my driver's seat on 2006 Honda Pilot go back further than the power switch allows. Is there a way to remount the seat so I can get another inch or 2?

not realy possible unless you put a differant seat to like an Accord in which you have to have it fitted for your SUV cause the Accord seat could be lowwer then the SUV seating it could also be just right if you are tall enough and rather larger then me to say I am 5'6" a friend of mine had a job similar done and he left the seat as is cause he is like 6'2" and works fine for his hight and wieght also the Accord seat has things that his did not like massager, heat , center back adjustment and hight adjustment

2006 trailblazer has a loud whining sound coming from the rear. When i accelerate it gets louder. took it to the dealer they said it was the rear brakes and rotors. but i don't believe that is the problem.

Manufacturer : GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

Service Bulletin Num : 030417002 Date of Bulletin: DEC 01, 2006

NHTSA Item Number: 10001111

Component: POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY

Summary: WHINE NOISE FROM REAR AXLE. *TT

I just went through the same problem with my SS. It had 3000 miles on it and it was whinning while turning either left or right. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire rear axle. I am not the first person that I know to have this problem. I was told that there was a problem with some of the rear ends and I have had no further problems since having mine replaced.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck

2006 Trailblazer won't start

I have had a similar problem with my 06 Trailblazer SS. Took it to the dealer and apparently this is a common occurrence. They replaced my key cylinder and explained that this was because the cylinder was intermittently not completing the start circuit. It seemed to work after that. Now in the dead of winter I am having more starting issues with the vehicle.
