Why does isuzu bighorn no shift when the engine becomes hot, but when the temperature is cold we have no problem in shifting.
Old post, ill add real
better, a real answer, not ****** spam
automatic trans
cold ATF fluid is thicker cold and thin hot.
the hot oil finds leaks in the trans seals and it fails.
what does no shifting mean
Drive dead.
Reverse dead
or will no auto up shift, 1,2,3,4......?
my guess is it fails the stall test< slips in drive.
step on gas, and RPM goes wild fast RPM
that is called slip. and is stall test failure covered in your FSM book.
it the tells you to do the line press test next.
gage and fittings on side of box
if that fails trans is bad.
takes 30min work to do,
if it does drive in 1st gear, then that is another answer
be clear and get 10x better answers

Change your gearbox oil, and clean out the oil strainer.
Should help.
( On some models, you have to remove the gearbox oil pan to clean the strainer )
