Disc loading mechanism fault. disc do not load properly. a loose loading belt, or a faulty loading motor can cause this. Contact any service technician; as you have to take out the disc loading mechanism out from it. It is not a user repairable fault.

Actualy, I don't have any idea why your 6 ddisk CD Changer is not loading but my best advice: dispose of your multiple disk palyer. It's a "better mousetrap". Just install an XM radio or an MP3 player. In my car, I listen a 4 Gb pendrive with about 800 music files Last time I was in the US I rented a car with XM and hadn't even needed to touch the radio from Miami to Jacksonville.

It takes scanner to do it. Not all scanners can do it. Call before going. Dealers can do it.

Try www.xmradio.com This is where you can get info on activating your XM radio. It will cost you about $13 a month and an activation fee. You will need the radio's ID number. If you already know this and dont have the owners manual, stop by a dealer to get it going.

a subscription is required to have this in working condition

You need to contact XM and have them activate the signal. If you have a subscription you can sign on at www.xmradio.com . There are instructions on activating online or contacting XM. You will need the serial number on the XM chip for activation.

P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

If it's the standard GM radio, there is not much you can do. I'm a car dealer and I've seen my fair share of faulty delco radios. The loading mechanism is very problematic, both loading and ejecting cds yields the "check cd" message. Save yourself future headaches and replace it with a brand name Stereo!

if you have children they may of placed change into the cd loading slot.

if not your optical laser lense is prob dirty.

go buy a cd laser pickup cleaner from best buy or radio shack. its a cd with fine hairs that clean the cd laser lense.

and do yourself a favor next time stop loading dirty cd's into you cd player.
