Sounds like a defective vehicle speed sensor or some other electrical problem,bad connection to sensor.

I suggest to check fuses, first, and then verified harnesses connections back side instrument panel.

Sounds like the speedometer is faulty. If the speed sensor were the problem, the odometer would not work correctly, the transmission would not shift correctly, and the check engine light would be on.

Check the speedo gear on the transmission for worn or flat teeth. Replace if necessary. You should lubricate the cable with lithium grease too.

THE SERVO IN THE HEAD MAY BE BAD..THIS IS KINDA A HARD FIX SO WHAT I WOULD TRY IS A NEW USED HEAD(PULL SPEEDO CLUSTER REMOVE SPEEDO)...OR TRY EBAY ,LKQ OR YOU LOCAL SALVAGE YARD ,FIND A WHATS CALLED A SPEEDOMETER CLUSTER (HEAD) THAT HAS ABOUT THE RIGHT MILES ON IT SHOULD BE AROUND 50$ GOOD LUCK REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR YER FAV FIX ! check your speedometer cable it runs from your transmission to your speedometer it is what determines your speed if that cable is loose from your tanny then push it back in i hope this helps

I have a false speedometer reading as well as a false oilpressure reading. The speedometer reads 30 MPH when at a dead stop! The oil pressure shows zero when driving down the highway or will be showing 60...

I would star by checking the wires and connections for these gages. If they are good then replace the gages.
