I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, 5.2 liter engine. There is transmission fluid leaking out from around the radiator. Were are the transmission lines leading to and from the radiator located?

sounds like a bad transmission. did you check the transmission fluid level,and if you need to add any transmission fluid use only chrysler plus 4. this is my link to my garagehttps://www.facebook.com/TedsRepairs

it is probably not gearbox oil. it is probably transmission fluid because it travels through the radiator cooling tanks. the cooling tanks may have a leak causeing the fluids to leak into the radiator.

I would replace the two piece seal and skip using the lucas engine sealer.

Replace it immediately the leak will only get worse. On some, you may need a sending unit socket, unless it has flat sides that will work with a wrench. Wrap the thread with teflon tape (one turn) to prevent it from leaking there and do not over-tighten or it will snap off.

Approx 4-5 quarts when draining pan and replacing filter only.Hope this helps

Use Dexron® II or ATF Plus/Type 7176 automatic transmission fluid (or their superceding fluid type).

HI, this is just a pan seal that as failed to do its job due to age or defective nature. Once this faulty pan gasket is changed, the leak will stop.
