Replace your battery, a battery discharges every day you dont run the alt. to charge it up... after a week or 2 weeks the battery would be dead, just from a car sitting not being started... if you are not using the vehicle, it is a good thing to replace the battery, and every couple days just start the car up and let it run a while to charge the battery.... if you are going to have to leave the car for a while without starting it, then disconnect the battery, and remove it from the vehicle... you can buy a cheap trickel charger for the battery when it is out that will keep it charged till you decide to put it back in.... hope this helps you...

The engine will not turn over

If you car has an alarm try depressing the Valet switch and de-activate the alarm. What happens with car alarms is they are auto activated when the battery is dead and re-connected. Also go to the starter itself and find the solenoid. There are usually one or 2 single wires attached to the rear of the soleniod. One is an ignition bypass and the other is 12VDC from the start switch. Have someone turn the key and check for 12VDC on the wires. Only one of them will have voltrage when the key is turned to start. If you have 12DC on the wire terminal with the key turned to start then you have a bad starter / start soleniod.

Has been sitting for months, dead battery. door locks are jammed

Take nozzle of WD-40, stick it in key slot as far as you can, lots of spray in there and keep spraying as you pull little red nozzle out slowly, and give it a little time, and try working key, first just slide it in & out a few times then keep trying to turn it. May take 2 or 3 sprayings to unseize things.
