Blower motor works when it wants to. Used to be able to tap the dash and it would turn on. Then that stopped. Then if you tapped under the steering column it would work now it hasn't in the past couple of days. Won't blow at all. Changed the resister in the motor compartment What do I try next

It is the blower resister. I purchasted one at auto zone for $18.00. It is located under the passenger side dash. You need to remove the glove box and the plastic cover under the dash to expose the blower motor. the blower motor resister is right next to the motor. Simply unplug the resister remove the two screws and replace. I did this and now my fan works on all speeds.

check for inline fuses. wire that will melt if theres to many amps running through it usually under the hood. hope this helps

Bencar1 is right. The problem is probably the resistor. But it also could be a burned terminal in the 4 prong plug that attaches to the resistor. There will be burn marks on one of the prongs of the resistor if this is it. Look for the obvious. Good luck.

to answer your question , yes there is a relay ,, it is located on the center rear of the engine compartment , just below the maxi fuse block , you should see a few relays all screwed on a block together . according to picture its the one closest to the passenger side of the car , but i wouldn't count on that . this may help indentify it , it has 4 wires , 1 is yellow ,1 is tan , 1 is light blue and 1 is dark blue . just answering your question . hope ya FIX it . please vote fix ya if you find my info to your liking , thanks .
