White smoke is coming out from under my hood and the car isnt over heating. Just in case the gauge was wrong I put the heater on and it didnt get hot it was blowing cool air.
You could have a pin hole in the rubber pipes. or gasket blown. as for cold air that can be a blocked internal rad for the heater or the switching for the diverted is not working. if you losing a lot of water or just a bit it will give off white smoke also known as steam. check were it is coming from get engine up to running temp and wiggle pipes about faveret place for a pipe to go is the top rad pipe.
Testimonial: "The heater was working just before."
you need to check the system switch for the water feed to the internal rad for heater check it is working also with a water problem and it is not on it can get bypassed take the top off the water filler the cap. run engine with heat on number one if it gets hot then there is air getting in the system and having the top off is letting the air out. this can also happen with a water leak as when the engine cools down it takes in air. check these out..
Ill check for lecks tomarrow.
did you find any ??

SOURCE: A/C blowing hot air, I'm testing your talents because so far this site has done me no good
Run the OBD diagnostic with the ATC self test feature. I bet you'll find a faulty blend door or motor....accordianman PS Three Pounds??!!?
SOURCE: Heat on, blows cold air on passenger side
u will need to repair the passenger side air temp control blend door, either the door is stuck or the small electric actuator that moves it is defective.
SOURCE: smoke is coming out from under my hood...checked antifreeze and oil so it fine
white smoke usualy tells about a leakage in the cooling. check that. dont forgett to refill. get it repaired or DIY. attention: could be really hot.
if it smells like fuel, a fuel line is broken. then dont drive any more since it can catch fire.
if the smoke is not white, go to the repair shop instantly.
SOURCE: car is blowing white smoke from exhaust when i step on gas
The most likely cause is a blown head gasket, but it could also be a warped head, was the motor overheated prior to the problem starting? The white smoke is steam, check the underside of the oil fill cap and dipstick for a grayish brown residue, check the coolant for a low level and oil conatamination, either of these conditions verify that a head isn't fully sealed.Unless your moderately skilled mechanically this a job to be done by a shop.A good shop will perform a leakdown test to verify this.
