Easy. First you need to remove the rear splash guards(the plastic pieces located near the tires)
After that, it should be about 6 bolts/clips and they are located in plain view just standing facing the bumper. Then the bumper pulls right out.

Good luck

Fix 2005 tahoe rear wiper (other year GM SUVs may also apply)

My 2005 tahoe rear wiper was inop. The symptom was a pulsating buzz coming from the wiper motor, but no wiping action. I mistakenly bought a new wiper motor, which was not the cause. It was a bad ground, so instead of hunting the bad ground, I just added another grounding wire to the motor. Maybe my experience can help you. Make sure ignition is off and wiper is off. (As an added safety precaution disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent unexpected wiper action). To get access to wiper motor, open rear window glass to remove upper window trim surround. On either side of the window latch there are two black flat plastic "buttons". Release these by pushing from behind with a flat blade screw driver to pop out the center pin. With the pin extended the whole button can be pulled out. Open the tail gate and gently pry under the upper window trim to release clips from underneath. Remove upper window trim. Now to remove lower tailgate panel, remove bolt holding the pull strap. remove pull strap. As before gently pry lower panel to release clips from underneath. When all are loose, lift panel vertically to remove, by releasing the two "fingers" that fit into slots. Now that the motor is exposed, cut a short length of insulated stranded wire (like lamp wire) and crimp-on some terminal ends(just the stripped bare wire ends will also work). Attach from under a wiper motor frame mounting bolt (do not use either of the rubber insulated bolts) to under a mounting bolt on the window glass latch assy. Or you can also select any motor grounding point to any vehicle chassis grounding point as desired. Op test the wiper. Note: The window glass and tailgate will have to be closed to test. Hopefully it works properly. Put everything back in reverse order. Remember to slide fingers of lower panel into their slots before pushing clips secure. Also after remounting upper glass trim, fully insert the two plastic latch buttons with center pins extended, and then push in center pins.

1 - BEZEL AND GASKET
2 - OUTPUT SHAFT
3 - TAILGATE OUTER PANEL
4 - NUT
5 - NUT COVER

What you will need to do is to remove the small plastic cap on the wiper arm by prying it off with a screw driver. Then remove the nut that holds the arm onto the shaft. Then get yourself a battery cable puller (from auto parts store) and pull the arm off of the shaft..

  • Electrical Tape
  • Center Punch

------------------- Installation:

Remove Back Seat:
  1. Locate the retainers securing the seat bottom into the vehicle, approximately 10 inches from the end of the cushion, either side. Use your thumb to push in retainer release tab. Lift the seat up to remove.
  2. Remove the two 13mm screws securing the seat back, located on each lower corner. Lift seat upward to release seat back from brackets at the top. You can carefully prop the seat back under the retracted top , use caution if choosing this method not to damage or scratch the vinyl of the seat. You can remove the seat from the vehicle completely by disengaging the flanges securing the top of the rear seat to the fabric of the convertible top well .

    1. Grip the Quarter Trim Panel Cap at the shoulder strap opening and lift up to dislodge the retaining clips.
    2. The inside Quarter Trim Panels are two-piece panels. Remove the upper portion of the Quarter Trim Panel from the vehicle; it is not necessary to remove the lower portion. Pull the forward edge of the trim Panel over the pinch weld in the doorjamb.
    3. Use a Door Trim Tool (Fork Tool) to dislodge the pushpin retainer at the rear edge of the Trim Panel approximately 4” down from the top, pry Trim Panel toward the outside of car to release retainer.

I need to remove 2004 toyota sequoia tailgate door panel to get access the rear tail light to install a backup camera. I don't see any obvious removal points.

Slide the plastic cover off the tailgate ******** the passenger side to reveal a 10mm bolt.

Remove the bolt and the strap/

Using a flat prying instrument, remove the center trim section one the inside of the tailgate above the window.

Grab the top edges of the side trim sections on the inside of the tailgate and pull down to remove.

Using a flat instrument, pry at the bottom edge of the tailgate main trim panel, it is held on with about 12 plastic pop-in fasteners so it will take several 'pops' before it is released.

Behind that there is a metal access cover the width of the tailgate, held on by ~5x pop in fasteners and ~10x 10 mm bolts. Remove the bolts and pop the panel loose, it will hang by the wiring so support it while you do your camera work :)

The license plate trim panel, should you need to remove it, requires remoaval of the license plate.

Then remove ~3x 10mm bolts from the top of the panel, accessed from the inside.

Using long needle nose pliers compress the pop-fasteners holding the lower corners of the license plate trim panel on, being careful not to let it drop and slide down the vehicle, scratching the paint :)

Need to replace the driver's door interior door opening assembly

Hi there.

The procedure is roughly the same for all mk3 x types.
You need to remove all the screws on the armrest and on the ashtray, then undo all the plastic clips using screwdrivers on the panel.

You find detailed instructions on links below, I quote:

" remove two screws at the bottom of the armrest.
pull out ash tray.
remove screw in the middle of the ash tray holder.
pull up on armrest, it should pop up, then pull it out
start at bottom right of door and start popping out the plastic clips (all the way around the door)
(remove speaker wires)
push up door panel - done"
