Replaced radiator now I have no acceleration......

Replaced the radiator last night. I thought I put everything back exactly as I found it without touching any other engine components. Girlfriend drove the car about a mile, sounds like it popped out of gear and now will not go into gear, acts as if it is in neutral. The engine idles fine, revs fine, no liquid sprays or weird rattles, just no power is being transferred to the wheels.

Automatic transmission. Check engine light is on but usually is due to gas cap codes.

Check out all the wiring connections having anything to do with your transmission. Some wire has dislodged.

2001 Mercury Sable - already asked but this is in better detail???

Not plugs. Go to AutoZone, Advance, or Oreilys autoparts for a FREE scan. Bring pen and paper and write down trouble Code that their scanner shows. Clerk should be able to tell you, but you want the Code so your can price repair.
Once you get Codes you can call and price work. A few can be done without much effort. Unfortunately the ABS may be a victim of heavy braking. The ABS can be checked with a better scanner(Not all are equal).
Try tightening the gascap, although each time you added fuel additives you did that, know that one Code may be related to a loose cap.
Think back about your gas purchase. The cheapest is E85. If you put this in your car, it is not made for it. If this is what happened, then it will give a Mechanic a better idea of everything broken.

Dashboard lights are out and rear lights, also a pulling sensation when changing gears especially and a horrible sort of screeching noise when I start the engine!!

You aren't alone with your lights problem . Mu '59 Picanto did exactly the same thing last night. No dashboard, heater, or air vent illumination and worse still no rear lights (note brake lights do work). Got home switched off everything, then switched back on and all working. Very strange.

My first thought would be: If you repaired an emissions hose, take the car back to Auto Zone (or another parts supplier) and let them tell you what code comes up now. You eliminated one problem, now you have to find another.
I wouldn't do a fuel pump without more information.

Sounds like the timing belts needs to be replaced and it is a real pain on those cars best to do the water pump also. I suggest a really good mechanic do the work though. It took me about 8 labor hours to do this.
