There are baffles inside some fuel tank designs that pool fuel around the fuel pump suction screen. The baffles are designed to prevent exactly what is happening with your car. The fuel sloshes in the tank due to vehicle movement and the fuel system draws air if the fuel level is low.
You will need to drop the tank and remove the fuel sending unit to see what is going on inside the tank. You will probably find the plastic baffles are loose and just roaming around inside the tank. I once saw a situation where the fuel pump detached from the sender and was free floating in the tank which caused a similar situation.
You should address this. Whenever the pump draws air, the pump is being damaged. It is expensive. Fix the baffles before you have to fix the baffles and replace the pump too.
