That's not the way it works. you buy a socket set. It has one set of AF Sockets and one set of Metric sockets. The one you use is the one that fits.

lift front of vehicle secure jack stands remove right front wheel strut mount bolts ,outer tie rod end ,remove speed sensor for movement of spindle remove axle nut swing spindle away and feed axle from hub remove carrier bearing mounted at block pull axle out reinstall in reverse order torque axle nut to 105ftlbs

to remove front axle.to loosen front axle nut leave vechicle weight on wheel then just loosen front axle nut because axle nut torque at 217 ft lbs torquehard to loose axle nut with vechicle weight off wheel.okay. you need a 1/2 breaker bar and axle socket to loosen axle nut dont use 12 points sockets need go auto parts store buy right socket for axle nut.okay when you loosen front axle nut you need safely raise support vechicle. need to remove wheels remove fender apron seal remove transaxle fluid remove transfercase oil if you have 4WD.remove hub nut remove stabilizer bar link remove speed sensor remove tie rod end remove lower arm from the ball joint then slide the halfshaft from the hub then carefully pry the shaft from the transaxle.then install new front axle push in make sure front axle snap ring on front axle snap in place inside transmission just pull a little on front axle make its in place. when all done tighten front axle much as you can then when done putting every thing back in place.lower vechicle need torque front axle nut to 217 ft lbs.

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the brake caliper, caliper anchor, rotor and ABS wheel speed sensor.
4. Remove the cotter pin, nut retainer and axle hub nut.
5. Remove the hub/bearing mounting bolts from the back of the steering knuckle. Remove hub/bearing from the steering knuckle and off the axle shaft.

Installation

1. Install the hub/bearing to the knuckle.
2. Install the hub/bearing-to-knuckle bolts and tighten to specification.
3. Install the hub washer and nut. Tighten the hub nut to specification. Install the nut retainer and a new cotter pin.
4. Install the brake rotor, caliper anchor, caliper and ABS wheel speed sensor.
5. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

Instructions
1.Set the vehicle transmission in "Park" and engage the emergency brake before attempting to remove the front right axle. Place wood blocks behind the rear wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling and loosen the lug nuts one complete turn on the right front wheel with a tire tool.

2. .Lift the front passenger side of the vehicle with a floor jack and slide a jack stand under the vehicle frame near the wheel. Lower the floor jack so the vehicle is sitting on the jack stand and move the floor jack out of the way.

3. Remove the lug nuts with the tire tool and set the front passenger wheel out of the way. Take the cap off the end of the axle with a standard screwdriver and remove the cotter pin from the axle with a pair of pliers.

4. Slide the crown washer off the axle and loosen the axle nut with a crescent wrench. Unfasten the top and bottom bolts that secure the brake caliper to the rotor with a socket wrench and slide the bolts out of the caliper.

5. Lift the brake caliper off the rotor and remove the brake pads from the caliper. Suspend the brake caliper from the vehicle frame with a wire hanger and take the rotor off the axle.

6. Unfasten the thru-bolt on the vertical sway bar with a socket wrench and remove the bolt from the sway bar. Take the channel bolt out from between the sway bar and lower A-arm that the thru-bolt ran through, and loosen the bolts that secure the front right axle to the center flange with a socket wrench and breaker bar. You may need to loosen the bolts with the breaker bar before removing them with the socket wrench.

7. Slide the front right axle off the center flange and let it rest on the A-arm. Lift the front passenger side up with the floor jack to get enough room between the steering knuckle and A-arm and slide the axle out of the vehicle.
Install in reverse order.

In general, on front wheel drive axle replacement, the method is as follows: raise and support vehicle and remove wheel, remove the axle nut (located in the center of the hub assy.), remove the nut retaining the lower ball joint and separate from the lower control arm, remove axle from wheel hub and suspend the hub to one side, use a pry bar to force the axle out of the trans-axle, reverse process to install and observe all torque specifications.

About an hour a side...This is the whole job and pictures....

The hub and wheel bearing unit is serviced as a complete assembly. Replacement of the front drive hub and bearing assembly can be done without having to remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle. However, if the hub/bearing assembly is frozen to the steering knuckle, removal of the steering knuckle is required.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
   
2. Remove the cotter pin from the end of the stub axle. Remove the nut lock and spring washer. With the brakes applied, loosen, but do NOT remove the axle nut and washer with the vehicle still on the ground or damage to the wheel bearing will result.
   
3. Raise and safely support the vehicle. Remove the wheel.
   
4. Remove the front brake caliper assembly from the steering knuckle assembly and support from the strut assembly using a strong piece of wire.
   
1. Remove the front brake rotor from the hub/bearing assembly.
   
2. Remove the retaining nut and washer from the halfshaft stub axle.
   
3. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
   
4. Remove the 4 hub and bearing assembly mounting bolts from behind the steering knuckle.
   
5. Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the steering knuckle.
   
5. To install:
   
   1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the steering knuckle and the hub and bearing assembly of any foreign material or nicks so the surfaces are clean and smooth.
      
   2. Install the new hub and bearing assembly and tighten the mounting bolts in a crisscross pattern to 45 ft. lbs. (65 Nm). Be sure the hub and bearing assembly is seated squarely against the front steering knuckle.
      
   3. Install the disc brake rotor.
      
   4. Install the brake caliper assembly onto the steering knuckle.
      
   5. Install the axle washer and nut. Tighten but do not torque.
      
   6. Install the ABS wheel speed sensor.
      
   7. Install the wheel and lug nuts. Torque the lug nuts, in sequence, to 95 ft. lbs. (129 Nm).
      
   8. Lower the vehicle. Do NOT roll the vehicle until the axle nut has been properly torqued or damage to the front wheel bearings will result.
      
   9. With the vehicle's brakes applied, torque the axle nut to 180 ft. lbs. (244 Nm). Install the spring washer, nut lock and a new cotter pin. Wrap the cotter pin prongs tightly around the axle nut lock.
      
   10. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Check the wheel alignment.
       

The hub/bearing assembly is attached to the steering knuckle with four bolts

If the hub/bearing is "frozen" to the steering knuckle, separate the ball joint and lightly tap on the hub/bearing from behind




The hub/bearing assembly should free itself from the steering knuckle

About $60 a hub.

HUB BEARING AND AXLE SHAFT REMOVAL

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the brake components from the axle, Refer toBrakes.
4. Remove the cotter pin and axle hub nut.
5. Remove the hub to knuckle bolts Hub and Knuckle Remove the hub bearing from the steering knuckle and axle shaft
6. Remove the brake dust shield.
7. Remove the axle shaft from the housing. Avoid damaging the axle shaft oil seal.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean the axle shaft and apply a thin film of Mopar Wheel Bearing Grease to the shaft splines, seal contact surface, hub bore. Install the axle shaft into the housing and differential side gears. Avoid damaging the axle shaft oil seals in the differential.
2. Install dust shield and hub bearing on knuckle.
3. Install the hub bearing to knuckle bolts and tighten to 170 N·m (125 ft. lbs.) torque.
4. Install the axle washer and nut, tighten nut to 237 N·m (175 ft. lbs.) torque. Align nut to next cotter pin hole and install new cotter pin.
5. Install the brake components, Refer toBrakes.
6. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
7. Remove support and lower the vehicle.

Jack up vehicle and support with jack stands
Take off wheel
remove brake caliper
remove caliper bracket
remove rotor
remove axle retaining nut cotter pin
remove axle retaining nut
remove axle from output flange
pull axle out of vehicle
hub and bearing assembly held in by 4 bolts

installation is reverse of removal. You will need to find out the torque specs for the axle retaining nut.

Hi.. The step to remove the front Axles of you Vitara.
Raise and support Vehicle . Remove front wheel,
Drain Diff,fluid,
Remove Locking Hub if is equipaded,
Remove Circle clip from axle shaft
On right side of Vehicle, Remove the Stabilizer Little ball joint nut. Remove castle nut Front Tie rod end,
Remove mounting bolts from brake calipper,
Remove Calipper from steering knuckle and wire a side.
Remove Stud Nut from steering knuckle,
Support Lower suspension arm with a jack,
Remove lower strut bracket bolt ,
Lower jack and disconnect Knuckle from lower suspension crontrol arm,
Pull Outler joint from Hub.
Use Large screwdriver or Prybar To pry Right inner joint from differential, The axle will go out making a little froce with the prybar,
To remove the left side,
Remove mounting bolt from inner joint flange,
Pull out axle from hub.

To reinstall just reverse the prosses.
