My 2003 Chevy trailblazer was reading a code P0304 so i replaced the wires and the coils out and the truck ran fine for about a day then it threw out another code P0735 along with the code Po304. so while on the expressway driving at about 65 miles per hour my truck would not change gears, so i pulled over the truck would crank up with no problem and I could move the shifter to park and reverse but the truck would not move . any suggestions you may have to help sove this problem would be greatfully appreciated

The end of the shift cable has broken, there is a plastic ring at the transmission end of the cable that breaks. You will need to have it towed to the mechanic.

Sounds as if your linkage may have become disconnect from the transmission.

P0304 Steady Check Engine

P0304 is a misfire on cly. #4. Pull the plug and see if there is a lot of oil that may be fouling it out. If you are burning oil, one thing you can do is switch to synthetic. Synthetic oil will not burn and it can minimize the loss.

Also if you only replaced one coil pac, you may have a problem there, but that is remote since each coil runs two cylinders and you only have a cly.#4 code.

Hope this helps.

P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected, what needs to be done.

Fritz, Clear codes, Plugs and coils try switching them around, not using the same cylinder, to see if code changes to different cylinder. this would help diagnose bad coil or plug. See links below for full instruction. I have had this code come up because of a bad/dirty fuel injector also. Last link tells what other reasons code could be thrown.

2002 chevy trail blazer, ran fine, went to work then at noon it would not start. changed fuel pump, crank sensor, cam sensor, checked compressionand spark at coils, still no start

You threw a lot of parts and money at that thing guessing what MAY be wrong with it. Check any fuses that may be marked start, ign, etc. Do you have spark? The engine size would alos help.

Why does p0304 appear when engine warms up on 2002 c240

Seems to be a misfire code, you could have a partially clogged injector. You can have them tested at a local car shop.

My 2003 chevy trailblazer is getting a po301 code and i'm wondering if you can tell me where the number 1 cylinder is?

Very first one in the front of the engine. Cheapest way to fix this is to replace your spark plugs first. Use AC Delco 41-103, a little more than off brands, but will idle better than any other plug. If this doesn't work, replace the coil pack on cylinder 1. One of these will fix the problem. Also, check the wires that coil plugs into, if all else fails.

I just gave my 2001 dodge ram 1500 a tune up, new spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. it ran well for about 3 days on the fourth day it started miss firing and threw a code. I didn't get the code number...

P0303, P0304? check the routing of the wires and make sure they are snug at both ends. See if they are routed too close to the engine or any other ground point. Did the old wires have any covers or conduits that you did not reuse? You can probably see/hear sparks jumping if that is your problem. If you can see them, you know where the wires are too close to ground. OK?
