I have had it in the shop, they made sure the fuel tank was clean and they hooked it up to the computer and no defects showed up.

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

try replacing your EGR Valve, or your Oxygen Sensor

Some GM products also incorporate the oil sender switch into that circuit for fuel pump, so that in case of an accident, engine shuts off, oil pressure drops, in turn, shuts off power to fuel pump. May be worth a look at what your getting for oil pressure, as well as checking switch/sender.

im new on here and hope this will help alot of people who has the same problem as me. iv been trying to work it out for months. i spent loads of money on diffrent things. yesterday i thought id clean throttle body so i done that and then i thought id have a look at maf sensor which is to the right of throttle body tucked underneath. it looked ok to me but then noticed a small bit of the rubber ridge was missing so inspected it i picked the ridge up and there was a small hole in the rubber how i managed to fix this i do not know. only meant to clean throttle body and thought now iv got intake pipe off ill have a look at maf sensor. never even thought about the maf being the problem. i could easily have not seen that hole under the top rubber ridge dont ask why i looked there but glad i did hope this helps you all with the problems of backfiring stumbling power loss start up probs . hope you find this may help iv been pulling my hair out for months. but now drives sweet
