SOURCE: Power door locks on rear doors do not open

The rear doors have a separate relay for the lock and unlock function. There's a good chance the unlock relay is bad. The relays in question are located in the left instrument panel fuse block. Hope this helps

SOURCE: 2008 chevrolet malibu door lock problem

You have a intermittent condition. To isolate the cause: 1.Disconnect the drivers door lock/unlock switch from the connector. Drive the vehicle and see if your random lock/unlock condition has stopped. If it has, replace the switch. If it hasn't:
2. You have a grounding problem or a problem in the BCM (Body Control Module) and should have a technician use a Tech 2 Diagnostic Link Tool to access the BCM computer to obtain any fault code data to help correct the condition.

The central locking not working on 2008 Peugeot Expert. The rear doors lock but the driver and passenger doors don't lock. When driving there is a humming noise from the driver's door panel. Any help?

The driver's door normally contains the central locking module and also the solenoid that opens and closes the lock for that door. That doesn't explain why the passenger door also doesn't lock. Also check the fuse, although, it it hums, it is getting power. The only way is to remove the door panel and check.

The button on the drivers side door wont roll any windows down. It works occasionally but not all the time.

sounds like a bad switch on the drivers door panel seeing as how they all work from there own doors

2006 malibu that locks and unlocks the doors while driving. Also the doors can be unlocked and when you open a door the alarm sounds.

You have a door lock/unlock switch problem or a door lock/unlock switch wiring problem.
Many mechanics fear working on doors, since its a wholly different world of tools and techniques
than engine work.
Once you get inside the door lock/unlock switch area (its almost always the driver's side, rather
than the passenger side), look for a worn wire or end of a spade lug near or touching a ground, and
automotive grounds are any part of the body or door - the door is not a good ground, but it does
end up being grounded through the hinge.

2008 chevrolet malibu door lock problem

My girlfriend has a 2008 Malibu. The door locks began to falter one by one until three of the locks had to be operated manually or by using a key. I checked the fuses, the BCM and the lubrication on the locks. The door lock actuators were the real problem. She was quoted about $1000 to fix the problem and replace all three of the bad actuator/ door lock assemblies through the dealer. I called and got a price of $125 for the front door and $105 for each of the back doors from the dealer. I was able to fix all three door locks in about three hours myself. It took a few star end bits, a 10 mm socket and a regular phillips screwdriver to get the job done. It has been two weeks now and she is ecstatic that the problem has been fixed and she saved about $750. This seems to be a common problem with this car, when ordering make sure you have the VIN number of the car you are working on to ensure you get the right part. Depending on the year of the vehicle there was a production date split for these parts.
