Some time the call will start and sometimes not. Press break, hit button and it tryed to start but then dies. Remove key, lock and unlock the car and try to start agian and it will start. You may have to do this a couple of times. Sometimes it will even start but run really rough, then cut off. Some artically indicate it may be vapor lock. What is the fix for that?

Prob your RF reciver. Change it for about £130 ish. Make sure your access code works before the change to avoid confusion. Use part YWY 500 170 only.
If you can't get the £££ unplug the RF reciver (behind rear NS passenger seat) and use the key manualy. Good luck.

sounds like
, have you a spare key ? if still has the fault try forcing the wheel left and right while trying key see if that frees it, remove the wire connector from back of lock, try again
if not then the barrel may be at fault the it will need cutting off there are 2 "shear bolts" which need cutting in to and then unscrewing to release the barrel , best doing all this with battery disconnected

Since there are two separate problems that occurred during the battery transition, try as we may, we all make mistakes. Go over the wires that you soldered again. I know you already did that but look for two wired similar. But with one difference. More aptly...a green wire with a black tracer, and a black wire with a green tracer. Or a similar scenario. It's a subtle difference. But the old adage of killing two birds with one stone. Probe the wires with the ignition off to see which one has constant power (going to the hazards) and look for it's counterpart.
Testimonial: "Thank you will try that. Its a big job to pull the battery out so it will have to wait until Saturday. Thanks"
