Sometimes, it depends on if the Fuse is running any other equipment. Personally, I would find the alarm sensor and disconnect it. This would allow you to retain the factory remote start or keyless entry (if equipped.)

fob programing is done by turning key off on 8 times listen for clicks then press both buttons after that key on off one more time if not look on net for fob manual

could be a freeze plug leaking on the side of the block. or simply a bad hose

its only a vw ,check the crank sensor and the ignition module

The starter is under the intake manifold , you must remove the air box , the throttle housing and loosen the intake boots to gain some access to the starter , make sure to disconnect the battery neg.cable 1st .

It's not too difficult . get a small chair to sit on to do the job.

try disconecting the batery for 10 - 15 min it might reset the base comands and recorded features
