Replaced battery in February, then about a month later the door locks quit on the inside, and now the alarm goes off on its own. Can lock and unlock with fob, but if doors are locked, alarm will go off intermittently.Replaced battery in February, then about a month later the door locks quit on the inside, and now the alarm goes off on its own. door reciever or lock has issues
did you scan the car first.
does the receiver put 12dc to the unlock solenoid.
if yes the solenoid is bad.
if not the receiver has issues. (check connections first there)
Could be your driver door lock mechanism that is going bad , since the other door are working, it cannot be the fob. I would try to change the driver side door latch mechanism.
If the remote key fob locks and unlocks the doors then the problem is more than likely the power lock switches, this is a common problem on the Venture Van.
You are going to need to check the power lock control moduel on the inside of the door panel. If the FOB appears to be working but the doors are not unlocking, you need to check this. I would also replace all fuses that control the locks. If both of these devices check out ok, you may need to replace your FOB. To check your power lock control moduel, manually lock and unlock your doors by pressing the lock button on the inside of the door. If it does not work, it is either the fuses or the power lock control moduel. If it works, your FOB has gone bad. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!
Replace the "lock" relay, found behind the fuse box. You have to stick your head where the gas pedal is, and look at the top end of the back of the fuse panel. There are 2 small square plastic boxes. Unplug them, spray them with electrical cleaning spray, and switch their spots. If everything works, there was some contact problem, if door will now lock but not unlock, one of the relays is bad. Part number "HMC DECO 95225 - 38300".
