The clutch on my AC compressor will not engage. The freon level is full, the motor blower works. The fuses are good, the switch on the dash has been replaced. What can I do to fix this?!
The most common cause of no clutch engagement is a low state of refrigerant charge in the system. Have a set of AC pressure gauges hooked up and bypass the compressor cycling switch and check the pressure on the low side charging port, you show shop 28-32 PSI at idle.
It sounds like you now need a professional to sort this snafu out. You must have disconnected or not connected something, that is for sure, sorry but i have no clue what that might be as i have no real understanding of what you had taken apart exactly. Once again sorry to hear you messed the car up like this. Good luck with this.

SOURCE: blows hot air clutch does not engage
you either have a power loss problem but more likley your low on refrigerant. if its low, there is numerous pressure sensors that will not allow it to engauge to protect the compressor. you got to put a gauge on it. standing system at 80"F should have about 80-90 lbs. standing pressure.

Check the Aircon pressure switch, try another if possible. Switch located on Aircon condenser behind front bumper. Either a to high or to low pressure in the system will prevent the compressor from engaging. Pressure switches do go faulty at times.
SOURCE: put in a new dash
YOUR a/c compressor is cut on by the vehicle pcm(computer).pcm sends a signal to a/c relay to energize relay which sends power to compressor. Have you checke dall the fuses with a test light? last dodge i worked on had a blown horn fuse which powered a/c system also. block said nothing about this. here is a diagram

Dear Madam or Sir,
this concern is prpbably due to a lack of coolant. There is a pressure sensor monitoring the system pressure of the A/C system that will interrupt the activation of the A/C compressor to prevent it from being damaged.
If there is not enaugh coolant, the system pressure will drop below a fixed threshold level and the compressor protection circuit will activate.
So you should have the coolant level to be checked at the shop, if it´s OK, put an eye on the pressure switch itself :)

Check to see if the wires on the fan module are corroded. The fan module is under the battery. Easier to see from under vehicle. Also check the fuses first.

Thanx I will try that..
My switches (both inside the car & under the hood) were not getting power. So in attempt to trace where the lack of power was I unplugged the switch to the control panel (it has 6 prongs) 4 of the prongs were not getting power. All my fuses were getting power except for the fuse labeled "crank" and "illum" so I went under the hood. The switch directly by the clutch is not getting power. The switch by the safety thing in the upper left corner (idk the name) was getting power on one prong (it has 2 prongs). The only thing I couldfind where all the cords led to was the computer. Ok. So now my car won't start. But I plugged everything back in, so I dnt understand what went wrong. :/
Just thought I would update you in case you were curious:) my car wouldn't start due to a blow fuse for the starter. My a/c wouldn't work due to a bad valve, and my serpentine belt was bad. All are now fixed!:)
