At my wits end here plugs seem wet after trying to start with my scan tool hooked up it does not show the computer advancing the spark I have checked the mechanical position of the distributer and it seems to be correct i believe the timing chain has not jumped a cog but the motor sounds like it is ******** by at least one gear on the cam.

Disconnect the connector for the fue injector on the left side front of the intake plenemn there are two wires on red one blue these are your fue injector wires, check for power on one wire with the key ON One has power with the key ON, and then take the test light connect one end on one of the wires coming out of the harness NOT the plenem and the other end of the testlight to the other wire in the same connector don't let them touch togother! sue a paperclip or cotterpin to let you connect the clip of the testlight to the connector.crank and you should see the light blink( I just want to narrow down the possibilities) If you see the light blink Good. Then make sure the PINK wire wire going going in the module has 12V KEY ON and also check the two wires inside the distributor that come from the pick-up unit make sure they are not broke the distributor pick-up unit failes commonly, its easier and less expensive to just get a used distributor that works and be done with it.

I would be thinking that there is a good chance that you need to be checking out replacing the computer, if you aren't getting any communication with the proper scan tool then the computer isn't communicating with anything in the vehicle...... I would have guessed first off that the ignition control module might be bad but that is obviously part of the computer also, I would be looking in that direction.
SOURCE: I have replace the spark plugs, wires, coil, crank...
You replaced all kinds of parts for no reason. Do you really think, at this time, that even one item was your problem.
I would suggest going to a repair shop,as you already spent more than, that would have cost,in the first place.

Mechanically the timing is dead on have checked and rechecked then had two mechanics check
okay its a 2000 the distributer and and the rotor ca only go in one way and its not throttle body its multiport. It not being throttle body is my bad sorry dropped the exhaust in front of the cat only made the problem louder checked for pulses on the wires for the injectors all of them seemed to be firing. located and checked the knock sensor. Book calls for 8200 ohms, tested out at 100 k ignitions still wont advance
