Hey so I just replaced the motor on my 95opportunity Geo prizm 1.6 and everything bolted up fine except this pipe coming down from the egr on the intake and bolts to the engine. Only on my new used motor there's no hole to make the pipe functional. There's spots for studs but just flat where a hole is what could I do next?

SOURCE: replace the window motor power window bolts and rivets

Take the panel off the door and take a punch and drive the pins out of the center of the rivets. Then drill out the rivets.( easy with the center pins out) Take out the assembly. Note remove the window before you start anything. 2 X 8MM bolts clamp the bottom of the glass. When down the most of the way the window will lift right out.
Replace the assembly and either rivet back in or use bolts and locking nuts. ( Loc Tight is recommended if you are not sure the nuts will stay locked. replace the window and you are good to go.
This should take about 1 hour from start to finish.

ok, common error. First group your bolts by their lokeness. length, diameter, and thread.. Then if you have 4 holes, find 4 bolts that fit. they should all protrude the same amount, about 1/2 in. Finger start only,about3-5 turns, use no tools. regardless of length if its in the right hole it will protrude the same as the others. Driy run if neededbut use no force on any of them. Good luck. Contact me if you have a question. If you force a long bolt down, you can punch a hole through something and a bolt too short won't take the torque or strip. phone 909 630 3192

I replaced the EGR valve on the car and now have an error code indicating "EGR valve insufficient air flow..." I cleaned out a lot of carbon and junk that I could reach with a short piece of wire...

The air flow through the EGR is usually detected by a DPFE (differential Pressure Feedback Exhaust) sensor. The DPFE is connected by two pipes/ports on the exhaust feed pipe leading to the EGR. This sensor measures the pressure difference (differential) in the two pipes when the EGR is open; the more open the EGR the more the pressure imbalance detected by the DPFE. If the pipes/ports to the DPFE become clogged or the sensor malfunctions, the signal to the ECU will be seen as incorrect as compared to how much the EGR has opened...'insufficient air flow'. It is just as likely for the DPFE to fail as the EGR when there are 'EGR problems' . Hope this gives you another thing to check

I don't know whether or not I have to replace the head bolts on my 1991 Geo Prizm. Do I have to?

Yes, head bolts are torque to yeild bolts, and are one time use parts. Reusing them can lead to major problems down the road.

1995 geo prism code 71

The 71 code is related to the EGR system.
Underneath the intake manifold, it bolts on at cylinder # 4. or first from the drivers side. It is found right under the EGR Modulator. Disc like device with two vacuum line on the pasenger side and one vacuum line on the driver side. Best way to get to it is to remove the intake manifold. you need to replace it to get the problem fixed

The radiator fan on my 1992 Geo Prizm will not come on. I have tested the fan motor via a wire by pass and confirmed the motor is good. I have also replaced the relay and still the fan will not come on....

pull the cooling switch/sensor Usually the one next to or on thermostat housing. I do believe it a 2 wire. the 1 wire is for your guage. I think you can short it and see if it comes on. take a wire and plug into each other creating a complete circuit. if it comes on then replace the sensor which I think is your issue anyways.

1994 geo prizm windows in back go down but not up.

is this on BOTH windows?? it is odd they both failed at the same time.
If you here the motor running there is something inside the door has let go or falling off. the door will have to be taken apart to be fixed.
this is what's inside YOUR door. (passanger side, drivers side is just a mirror image)
44e5675.jpg 1. there could be a problem between the motor gear and the moon gear. or 2 (most likely) the regulator arm has come off the window track or the window track has come off the glass.
hope this helps.
