Exactly how do I get to the brake light in the hyundai brake light cluster? Can't seem to access it from inside through all ther molded plastic, and on the outside once the two securing screws are removed the light cluster just seems to wobble a bit.
On the Getz remove 2 screws on the outside then gently prise the cluster off from the dowels as above.

Is there a way to disable the annoying alarm system on my 2003 Elantra?
YES!... with various system operating difference. Disconnecting the alarm does not disable it.. it only silences the alarm. You will still need the Keyless Entry System Remote to RESET the alarm to start the vehicle.

P0139 code for a 2003 hyundai elantra. What is this code and how can i replace it myself?
Hi the code P0139 is Bank 1 sensor 2 lambda sensor fault ,possible wiring or sensor fault even if you replace the sensor you need to have the MIL lamp turned off by a Diagnostic machine,it is possible you have another fault such as poor Catalytic converter efficency giving the same fault code ,Would recomend you get the car checked and read the "live" data as the car see`s it to make an accurate diagnosis and cure

2003 Hyundai Elantra to replace a fuel filter do you need to replace the entire fuel pump.
Strauss is telling me yes and they say the reason why the car sometimes is not giving is because I rode the gas to near empty at times I dont do that anymore.
a few times the check engine light came because of this but then went off. any ideas
please advise
Well Strauss told you wrong. You can replace just the fuel filter without replacing the fuel pump. And you are in luck because on your Hyundai there is an access panel which allow you to access the fuel pump without removing the fuel tank. Read the warnings and heed them. Work in well ventilated area with all windows on the vehicle down, disconnect the battery before starting this repair, and use every precaution to not have any sparks near where you are working. Click the link for detailed instructions with photos. Please be very careful and do not attempt this unless you feel confident you can accomplish this repair. http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17699

Replace clutch in a 2003 hyundai Elantra
The procedure to replace the clutch is as follows:---
1) Jack up the Hyundai Elantra and place on jack stands.
2)Drain the transmission gear oil into a catch pan. To drain the gear oil, loosen the drain bolt with a ratchet.
3)Disconnect both drive axles (half shafts) from the transmission. Use a ratchet to remove the two bolts that hold the steering knuckle to the strut. Once those are out, you can easily pull the axles out of the transmission. The steering knuckle is the component that the wheel and strut attach to.
4)You can locate the two bolts to remove by following the strut down from where it's bolted into the engine bay Removing these two bolts allows you to pull the steering knuckle outward so you can pull the drive axle out of the transmission.
5)Remove the exhaust downpipe from the rest of the exhaust. It will be held on with two bolts at both ends and can be removed with a ratchet. Removing this piece is necessary to gain access to the transmission.
6)Disconnect the shifter cables connected to the transmission. Use a ratchet to remove each shifter cable and its housing.Remove the bolts holding the transmission to the engine block (there will be about seven or eight bolts). Place a transmission lift underneath the transmission to hold it and lower it down. If you don't have a transmission lift, you can use a transmission attachment for your jack.Shift the transmission back and forth until it drops onto the jack. Pull the transmission straight back, ensuring that no pressure is put on the input shaft, then lower the transmission to the ground. 7)Remove the pressure plate and clutch disc from the flywheel with a ratchet tool. Then remove the flywheel with a ratchet tool and replace it with a new flywheel. Alternatively, have your flywheel professionally machined at a machine shop then replace it in your car. Torque the flywheel down to the manufacturer's specifications.
8)Place the clutch disc on the clutch disc alignment tool and insert the tool into the flywheel input shaft hole. Connect the new pressure plate to the flywheel and torque the bolts. Once the pressure plate is torqued down, remove the clutch alignment tool. 9)Grease the new throw-out bearing and place it on the input shaft of the transmission. Once the transmission is installed, it will push against the pressure plate.
10) Reconnect all the parts which you removed while replacing the clutch.
Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

So my airbag light is on. I realize that the best way is to have it checked by a dealer, which costs $95 just for diagnosis and I can't afford that. I am hoping experts here to give me some real help at least to know more about it. Please don't simply tell me to take it to dealership.
This car was involved an accident in 2004 before I or the previous owner purchased it. So, not sure about the details. And I am not sure whether the light has anything to do with it.
The battery was replaced, goes flat and charged up a couple of times, so the normally suggested ''disconnecting battery'' method does not work.
I also tried to press the door knob six times as suggested on a post online, which did nothing as well.
Also, not sure if it is related, the cigarette lighter is bad. It does not pop out after I press it in.
The car was very dirty as well. Some people said spills may cause that. I would not be surprised that there were spills before in the car.
How do I know if it is the sensor, or connection? Or the airbag module?
How do I find out if it is maybe just the fuse? Where is the fuse?
I am really trying to isolate the possible causes an find out a cheaper way to fix it. There is a website called myairbags.com which charges $49+$6 for ''resetting'' the airbag module. I want to give it a shot. But I need advice as to whether this kind of ''reset'' can fix my problem or not and will that fix be short-term or permanent. And I am do choose their service, how do I remove the airbag module?
Thanks a lot for your input!
The light is probably on because there is no air bag installed. It probably deployed in accident and was never replaced.
Any mechanic with a scan tool can check the issue for you, does not have to be a dealership.
First you need to make sure there is actually an air bag installed in the car....it is not uncommon for people to not replace them, as they are very expensive.
Then if there is one installed, goto a good mechanic and have him hook his scan tool to it and check the codes, that is the only way you will be able to find the source of the problems. And dont go to your local auto parts store for them to check the codes...they cant check air bag or ABS code, only engine codes.
And stay away from the internet reset scam. Best stay with a local mechanic that you can goto for a problem.
Lastly...DONT TRY TO MESS WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IF YOUR NOT TRAINED....MANY PEOPLE EASCH YEAR GET INJURED SERIOUSLY (AND SOME KILLED) BY IMPROPERLY WORKING ON THE AIR BAG SYSTEM...yes you can get killed by an airbag!!!!!
You are best to take it to a mechanic if you dont know how to work on it...and no offense, but your questions show that you have no experience or training in this area.

all four windows do not work at all
There is a fuse box to the left of the steering wheel. The little compartment that opens up there can be totally removed to reveal the fuses. There is a fuse diagram on the back of the compartment. There should be a spare fuse for each amp level used and a plastic tool to remove or replace fuses with.
There is another fuse box under the hood on the same side as the battery and driver side headlight.
