u1400 is a code that i do not recognise, u140 is a body module coms fault code. what is the problem with your car? some fault codes on these cars are generic and will always be logged. hope this helps.

the code po153 is oxy/lambda sensor slow response. and the b i think relates to bank b that is left hand as you sit in car, there are 2 sensors on each bank. you should really have it put on suitable diagnostic equipment to monitor live data to help sort it out, it could be either sensor or the catalyst. and the parts are expensive so you should not get the diagnosis wrong. i guess you engine light is on. good luck.

has your car got premium sound system? if so the power amp is in the boot behind the inner wing trim panels on the lh side i think. and if it goes down it burns out ALL of the speakers, test the speakers with a ohm meter i suspect they are all open circuit

check bulbs not much else it can be unless wires on the back of bulb carrier have fell off but unlikley

Unfortunately unless you have a old "Bag Phone" or one that can be hard wired into the car - then you're out of luck. The system doesn't have a bluetooth availability unless you have the system modified by a professional audio installer or replace the old system completely.

Check all the fuses

Front and rear map lights and sun visor lights are out . Glove box and door lights DO work. Leaves only one common wire that is orange and blue from the rear distribution block that is broken somewhere. A short should have blown fuses or melted the wire.

You probably need to replace the window regulator.

the message "fail safe mode" is telling you that there is a fault in either the engine or gear box. In your case the problem is in the transmission. Run the fault codes and check for a torque converter servo/solenoid failure or a TCM problem. Check that there is oil in the transmission.

Thermostat not opening or Fans not cutting in!

You need to know the fault code this will tell you were to start. You can check the the connections at the wheels and check the fuse.But with out the code your guessing.

You dont need to remove the drive shaft to tow a car. just put it in to neutral and take the hand brake off.

I recently had the same issue and it sounds like it could be fuel related. Have you recently changed the fuel pump or changed the fuel filter? If not there are several other fuel related fuses some in the passenger side fuse box, some in the trunk (which you have found.. but I believe there may be two) and some relays as well. Check all them. If all fuses are okay check to see if your fuel pump is getting power... this can be done by turning your key to the on position and listening under the passenger back seat (this is where your fuel pump is located). You should be able to hear it once you turn your key over to give it power..(now this humming noise will only last for a few seconds so have someone right there while turning the key) if not it is probably the fuel pump....

Also replace fuel presure regulator

Do the cooling fans come on at all?

check power steering reservoir fluid level

it may not be sealed properly or new housing is not tight or its cracked or it could be a loose hose clamp

I would start with all the fuses. Yes this seems like a simple and pointless thing to do but I have a 2002 S type Jaguar and my issue was a fuse in the trunk panel I did not even know existed. You should have 3 fuse boxes. Check all the fuel related fuses first then you can go from there. Also if you have replaced a fuel pump recently pull it out and set it back in the fuel tank. It may not be put in correctly therefore blocking the sock on the pump and not being able to pull fuel. your fuel pump will only fit perfectly only one way. These are simple fixes but most the time that is what it is

Looks like you have two questions in one: YES - the 2002 S-Type does have an onboard computer system however it is extremely hard to avvess on your own. Most any Jaguar service center can probe the system to find where your power drain is but it is usually quite expensive to have it done - on average between $150 & $200. H8wever, it will give you a complete breakdown of everything that is wrong. second Yes - if you lock your doors on the 2002 the passive security system engages no matter how you lock them. The system can be defeated or disconnected by a service center or dealer but it is such a low power drain that it shouldn't have enough of a drain to affect the total power of the battery over a month long time much less overnight. Most likely th drain is from another source. Sorry for the bad news but that's all I have without knowing your individual car better. All the 02-03 S-Types have frequent electrical problems - it's their chron
