no comma's used. wow. ok, dash board goes dead, everything , radio too? head lights go dead. or just the cluster dies. or just cluster back lights in PARK mode. car runs ok.? the cluster (if only its bad) has 2 fuses, replace those. if that dont fix it ,scan the pcm , using any scan tool ever sold.

so the throttle fails, in Park too? or neutral or in drive. we need to know all facts here. the throttle adds air the EFI measures that and adds fuel. then RPM rises, to 3000 rpm easy in park. does it do that? then fail to make power in drive.? power is in move car? check fuses first. then scan it. using any scan tool works on all USA 1998 and canada. cars. or "then it starts to go" my guess now is ,that car drives ok, but has a small hesitation and has full power up any hill wide open throttle and the transmission does not slip.? is that it? that can be a bad TPS sensor. (hesitates then catches up) what is the delay time, from ignoring right foot to go. 1sec, 1 minute, what?

Relays usually connected with abs-asd-lamps-fuel pump-engine start systems-located on power distribition center (pdc)

Is there a chance that you got a lot of moisture in the alternator too? I would check that out but also look to see if the unit is still tight in the bracket and the belt is snug - all with the engine off. Whatever is loose needs to be tightened.

1. take car or radio to dealer and proof of car reg, tell him..... sure
2. same take to any autolock smith that does radios, most do.
3. go to the online store same deal.
4. hacking, there are radio hack sites, google finds them all but watch out for virus infected key gens. (exe progs)

google all day might find a site that will give you a code for freemost want $25 online, most are illegal in uSA (done with out proof of owner ship, yes, its a federal law here)YMMVYCMV (c for code)

is their power going to the starter? take a volt meter and turn key on and see if your getting juice to the starter ? or make sure the ground to the frame is attached also.

faulty relay under dash somewhere for high beams or faulty switch on steering column. relay should click on and off suspect relay stuck in high beam on most likely location of relay is under bonnet or side panel on vehicle.

you need to check all sensor connections as the crank shaft sensor also will mess up your idle....try slightly unscrewing the tps and push it up or down slightly to see if this fixes the problem.

Take the brakes apart & look for the problem Brakes have to come apart once a year anyway, to remove rust,inspect & lube & you flush the brake fluid every 2 years,on all vehicles Maybe the rubber flex hose is restricted or the calipers & fluid are neglected & everything is just rusted & nothing works

probably a broken vacuum line under the hood or under the dash. had the same problem with a 97 cherokee found a broken vacuum line on the passenger side firewall under the hood behind the a/c .

Have you changed the hub assembly or had the front differential checked out?

It's the sending unit in the tank. It is costly. Live with it until the fuel pump acts up or dies.

since you comment about it starting but dying it is POSSIBLE that it is the ignition switch, but since the vehicle is OBDII compliant beg borrow or rent a test unit and plug it in under the dash in the trapezoidal connecter and see what it has to say, The likelihood is that it isn't the switch since you state that it "sputters and dies". Normally when it is a switch it just shuts right down without any additional drama. This could be a bad ECM. As I have run across the exact same symptoms on the 98 JGC before.

pt, you meant p1757 that T is the key error here, its not a T so i must wild guess its a 1. 1 = factory codes, 0 = federal standard codes. P is power train. (7 is trans) i guess you never seen a FSM on a car? the factory service manual. it shows them all, and what they mean, and what tests must be done. ok ZJ, 5.2L so here is the free manual, why not read it. read chapter 25 called EMISSIONS. P07xx codes are transmission codes(you never said which one) page 7 is a bingo for P1757 in not sure which trans but at 0mph the governor pressure is above 0psi and above 3PSI. 0 is right, so is bad governor, i guess. the the governor , allows fluid to pass through it, above 0mph. as you go faster , more fluid and pressure , this pressure is what causes the hydramatic to shift to the next gear. ignore it, ? or pop in a new one. your call. spark to all 6 cylinders' compression good is first. all 6 then spark x6, if PCM sees no spark? it CUTS fuel by DESIGN. (logic) the fuel. if you have spark, the test fuel works, "spray" ever get a full tuneup this decade or every 60k miles. no? well , now is the time, huh? spark good to all cylinders, NOT just one, pretend its 6 engines. dig?
