Reattahed the side step
When you say the bolts are still there... does that mean the portion of the board rusted out that the bolts fastened to?? And is it tube or flat step? Since someone will be placing ALL their weight on this i would recommend either getting it rewelded by a pro, reinforce the CRAP outta it or just check out a replacement. Last thing you want is someone sliding under the truck in ice and water with broken pieces of metal slicing up... sorry it\'s likely not what you want to hear but safety must always prevail.

Ran out of gas, and won't start
May need 20% fuel load, in tank, for it to start
Until you have that, the PCM (computer) will not
allow it to start,maybe
You could try clearing any codes or data & see if
that works
If you run it out, you can also ruin the fuel pump
The pump needs fuel to lube it,as odd as that seems

Where is the #7 cylinder
From front of engine (closest to radiator) Right bank (passengers side) is #s 1,2,3,4. Left bank (drivers side) are #s 5,6,7,8. Hope that helps you.
