The vehicle is nearly 16 years old now, so it is quite likely overdue for a major tune-up (including plugs, wires, and coil packs). Beyond that, verify adequate pressure at the fuel rail, and replace the fuel pressure regulator and/or fuel pump as required. If fuel pressure is adequate at all load ranges, suspect fuel contamination (especially if you have been using ethanol blend fuels over the past few years). Replace all fuel in the vehicle with fresh in this case, and that should solve your problem.

General rule is 32, not any lower than 28. if it is, fuel pressure regulator is bad, or clogged fuel filter, or bad fuel pump, etc.

depending on what motor you have it will be 3.0 2 valve is 30 -45 psi and all others will be 35 - 55 key on engine off.

The best diagnostic for the fuel pump is a pressure test. Need to know the specs on it (should be around 40-60 PSI), hook it up to a fuel pump tester and there you go.

The symptoms the engine presents when a fuel pump is going bad could include:

- hard to start
- hesitation
- loss of power upon acceleration
- going dead at idle
- others...

But other problems could cause these same symptoms.

Use a Direct ignition, It's mean COIL on PLUG.
Each cylinder use one coil.
The firing order is ; 1-2-3-4-5-6..
The cylinder 1-2-3 are located at the FIREWALL side, starting from the Belt Side..
4-5-6 are Located at the Radiator side, starting from the belt .

Symptom indicates your losing pressure on the fuel rail which indicates the fuel pump is cutting off. Put the ignition in the "ON" position and then test the pressure on the fuel rail. If there is no pressure or less than 35lbs of pressure on the fuel rail with the key in the "ON" position the fuel pump is faulty. If there is more than 45 lbs of pressure on the rail you have the same problem and the safety is killing the fuel pump to prevent damage.
