I have a 2001 ford taurus and i have transmission fluid leaking on ground when it runs. i was driving it today and it would not shift gears. Then when i got home i saw transmission fuild in the ground.

I'd start by dis-connecting the battery, then cleaning the terminals, clamps, connections, and checking the wires. Use a mild solution of baking soda in water to remove all corrosion from the components. Then rinse with fresh water, re-assemble, and give it a try.

If the security system has been reset ( no light on/flashing ) you may have a neutral safety switch problem, Will the vehicle crank over in neutral? In most cases, the neutral switch grounds the starter relay and allows it to operate. Does the starter relay connector have 2 powers? One constant and one with key on/cranking? If these power supplies are there, suspect the ground side of the relay to be the problem and possible neutral safety switch

Is the battery symbol lit on the instrument cluster ? Check fuses F1.26 30amp in the battery junction box , fuse box near battery in the engine compartment . Also check F2.27 10amp fuse in the central junction box , inside passenger compartment under the dash . It won't charge without voltage on this fuses . Also the heavier gage wire on the back of the alternator should have battery voltage , 175 amp main fuse near battery connection .

could be fuel pump, turn key3/4 ways u should her humming sound under car for few seconds, u can try this many times, if u hear nothing then u need new fuel pump

unfortunately it appears that the method of replacement was not followed as per the workshop manual and now the gear box has to be removed to correct the error

There is a hose in the AC box (passenger side)
go out of the body (firewall)
for the water go out fit a new one or clean it
