Where do I add transmission fluid
pour the fluid in the tube where the transmission dipstick is located, only add about a pint at a time as you dont want to overfill because the is no easy way to drain off excess and overfilling can be worse than running it a little low
Hello i have a1997 Buick
Try this and it's FREE - stop by local Autozone, Advance, etc.. autoparts store and have them do a free Fault Scan.
They'll come out to your car, plug in their scanner, read all the fault codes, give you a print out in English not code and it will identify the exact causes. So you're not wasting money throwing parts at it and they'll even reset your lights. Best of all it;s FREE
Throttle Position Sensor on Buick
The sensor is located on the Throttle Body, it should be held in place by 2x torx screws, they are very hard to remove and can snap off easy.
Use a good penetrating spray, loosen a little then spray again, then tighten them in then back out, in and out slowly spraying as often.
If you snap it off, drill out the screw and get a thread repair kit.

How to get a repair manual free
I do not know anyone who writes books for free, or who publishes them for free. However there are a lot of old used service books and books burned to CD being sold on ebay for very little money. If you can afford a tank or gas, why can't you part with a few bucks
My check engine light keeps
The check engine light means that something is out of specifications on one of the sensors.
For instance, if the throttle position sensor was bad, then the light would go on indicating that it was getting a signal inconsistant with expected data in the computer.
I would have the car scanned with an OBD-II Scanner that can give a code that tells what system to look at.
OBD-II Scanners work on cars 1996 and up so yours should have that system.
One can get a scanner from Sears or Walmart for under $100 that can do this for you.
Or, one can go to Autozone or Advance Auto and get it scanned for free, for driveability issues.
Good luck on this diagnosis.
Fuel gage wont work
Possible bad sending unit in the tank most of the newer vehicles have electronic wafer boards on them that corrode. Check the fuses first then the connector at the tank
Seroentine belt came off
If the belt isn't broken but maybe frayed on the edges check your water pump. See if the water pump pulley is loose or wobbly. Replace the pump if it is.
**AC Question** Hello! I have 1997 Buick Riviera
Yes,the blend door is the problem, but there are too of them, the dash has to be removed to replace the actuator motors that move the doors,if one of the temp doors is not moving to the cold setting, then it is most likely heating up the other side too.It can be checked, but the dash will have to be removed, and set in the front seats to check, and replace the actuator motors, they are not easy to get to.One maybe accessable threw the glove box,but not sure on that model.I am sure the ac system itself is in good shape.
