Lasermart LM30 wont spin and all lights blinking

My LM30 worked OK for a while, then the zig-zag chalk line feature stopped working, and finally it would not spin for more than a second for either rotate setting, and got the flashing lights thing. Of course tried replacing batteries to no avail. So the meticulous experimenter in me started on a mission to find out why it stopped working. If my findings are the only reason this unit gives this error, the company should be ashamed of itself charging so much for such a simple repair.Check these two things if you get the no spin/flashing lights problem. Test one: Gently holding the rotating head, lift up a bit. If there is a little up/down movement when you lift on it, go to test two. Test two: Holding the unit upside down, try running through the functions. If all functions work, the repair is easy and inexpensive/free.The problem is there needs to be no axial shaft slop for the unit to work, and that slop is removed with a thin wave washer under the spinning head. That washer get's weak over time, and I think there is a sensor on the board that makes sure the drive pulley doesn't drop too far down, which triggers the shutdown.Tools needed:Phillips screwdriverSmall phillips screwdriver1.5mm allen keyRetaining ring pliersThe fix: 1) Remove batteries and the screws from the top of the spinning head, and remove the cover.2) Remove three screws from the bottom of the LM30 holding the yellow case on.3) Carefully lift off the case. The control board has a slide pin connection to join it to the rest of the internals. It has a slight resistance to being removed, but if you feel a higher resistance, the control board is probably snagging on the drive motor inside. Squeezing the case sides gives you a little more clearance. Take your time getting it off.4) Remove a 1.5mm allen head jam screw from the prism head, and carefully slide the prism off the shaft (gently prying up with a screwdriver)5) With retaining ring pliers, remove the retaining ring.6) Remove the wave washer. You can find a replacement or simply bend the existing one to make it a bit "wavier". Don't go crazy, just bend it slightly more than it is.7) Support the shaft with a screwdriver inserted under the drive pulley8) Replace the wave washer on the shaft.9) Replace the retaining ring10) Temporarily remove screwdriver to check that there is no up/down slop in shaft. If there is, you need to bend the washer a little more.11) Reinsert screwdriver for support.12) Carefully replace prism and reinstall the allen screw13) Remove screwdriver providing shaft support14) Carefully replace yellow cover, assuring slide connectors line up on the control board, and replace three screws15) Replace prism cap and screws.16) Replace batteries and test functions.-Rod Reidnauer (meticulous experimenter)

Robinair 347002k 134 machine, vacuum pump runs for a little bit and cuts out. Hit the machine and the pump will start running again for a little bit.

Check your wiring, especially connectors as the movement caused by hitting the machine can make the contact again for a short while,

Can I fix/replace on/off button on LazerPro CL-2062 level? I have tested it by bypassing the button/switch and it is the problem.

Question moved from Washing Machines category. Unfortunately no one sells parts. You may be able to get a generic switch from an electronics parts retailer or somewhere like RS Components. There is one advertised for sale for $29! https://www.google.com/search?q=LazerPro+2062+level+parts ..

I have a dewalt dw077 self leveling laser. It will not turn on! Battery is good!

Well, I opened a DW077 today as it didn't wanted to turn on. It was brought to me by a neighbor and he hadn't a clue what made it stop working. I removed the outside screws and rubber feet using a Torx T10 with a hole in the middle. Be careful not to remove the screws arranged in a square pattern as these hold the steppers in place. You don't want to mess with calibration ! Also be gentle with the rubber around the rotating head. You need to remove the metal ring on the outside to detach the rubber grommet.. Once open, there is not much to be found inside. There is one pcb, two steppers and some other plastic stuff. Measuring over the big cap indicated 0.9v and over the small cap I had a unstable low voltage. After desoldering some wires, the underside of the PCB can be inspected (all components are on the underside). What I found there was that the main capacitor (1000µF 50v 105°C) of the 5v voltage regulator circuit was blown and leaking electrolyte. Not only was the capacitor gone, it also took an SI4532A mosfet array with it. The 3A fast chip fuse was still intact. The circuit pulled +- 10mA at rest and it went up to 20ma when depressing the power button. That SI4532A chip consists of a P and N mosfet in an SOIC 8pin package. The N side had a hole and the pins were blackened. My guess is that this controls the power on-power off signal that goes to the LM2596-5 buck regulator. I have made some pictures of the damage. So this is a route to research. Hope it helps someoneef97737a-7727-4e1a-a617-5f53e48ffec5.jpgmosfet-kn4icmu2u5l1c4znnn0x2wde-d-2.jpg

I'd like to know what means the error e-99of a line on myTopcon Gts-603 Total Station screen

I believe the GTS-6XX series is the non robotic version of the GTS-8XX series. And E-99 in the GTS-8XX series is when the station cannot write to it's internal memory. Try resetting it. If it comes up with the same error, the ABS circuit board needs to be replace. Unfortuinately parts have not been available for that unit for a long time.
