Black and decker crosshair laser level

Auto level doesn't work, so I disassembled and I found a line thiner then hair broken. where it was connected?

The really fine wire is soldered from the RED terminal on left to the RED terminal on the top left (underneath the board). See below in the images.

Most likely your optic sensor has something in front of it. Clean out the unit really well. It does take time, about 3 different screwdrivers, lon pliers and tweezers and a vacuum or compressed air. After that, learning more new words and swearing to god you will never let this happen again until the third time.

Hi The sross hair on the finder scope has broken. How do you get the scope apart to replace the broken hair? Robert Jenkins

It would be better just to replace the finderscope. Even if you disassembled the finder you may not be able to permanently center the two crosshairs perfectly.

You have a very nice scope-- buy another finder -- I would suggest that you mount a Telrad finder like this one.

There is a micro-fine, almost invisible, wire that attaches to case mounted terminals on either side of the swinging laser assembly and, apparently, somewhere on the swinging laser assembly on the board....

The two very fine red wires connect here.

There are two possibilities one is reverse thread and the other is lock tite thread sealing compound.

The laser light on my black & decker bdl500 stopped working

I had the same problem with mine. I took it apart and inspected it. Mine was a loose connection and after some fiddling with the wires the laser came back on. Put it back together and haven't had a problem with it since. Hope it helps.
