what do u put the channell on for the dvd player to play most dvd are connected to the audio and video jacks on the back or front of the set and not to a tv channel

RF channel is its output has been set for.  If your TV has an AV in put facioty, you can connect the dVD to TV with an AV cord, and select the input to tV to AV. Image of AV cord is attached
