Where in the console is the lamp located? do i have to take the whole tv apart?
First, turn off the tv. Once the fan has stopped, unplug the
tv. Remove the front cover from it latches (takes up most of the
area below the screen). On the left is the lamp door. One
screw holds the door. Remove lamp door. Looks like one
screw holds the lamp assembly. Loosen screw and remove
lamp. Lamp may be hot if the set was running before you began the
lamp replacement.
If you have a new lamp assembly, reverse the process. If a new
lamp without assembly, change lamps. CAREFUL. No fingerprints on
the new lamp. The oil in the fingerprints will shorten the life
of the new lamp.
Reset lamp hours in the menu when done.
