Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Doesn't always come on with hot water is turned on

Water heaters draw water into the bottom, and as the hot water heats, it rises and hot water exits from the top.
You might want to check each fixture, does the hot pipe (tubing)feel warm when you run it for a moment. Can you get warm water from some of the fixtures, but not others?
I'm bet there is a leak at the top of the intake which is filling from the top down, instead of bottom up.

Matsui dishwasher mf2w/a not heating

If your Matsui MF2W/A timer stops earlier in its cycle, turn off the water and unplug the machine.

Pull it out and put it on its back. Remove the base panel. Remove the anti-flooding interlock. Unplug the two cables feeding the heater element and check its resistance. Should be 30 ohm or thereabouts. If not the heater's defective and you should replace it.

Pull the cables off each of the two thermostats and check resistance. It should be in the order of .5 ohm or less. If the reading is high then replace.

Remember there are two thermostats fixed to the dishwasher pan. One at the right back lower, and one at the left back lower. For the left hand one you may find it easier to access by removing the lefthand dishwasher panel.

And that's about it. Job done.

I have a Magic Chef dishwasher that's between 10 and 15 yrs old. The dishwasher doesn't always completely drain and leaves varying amounts of water behind.

The drain pump may be faulty or the drain pipe exiting the machine is in the wrong position allowing drain water back into the system.

Hope this solves your problem

How does rhe hot and cold water hook up on a 71-40d which is which top and bottom

Tanks are marked with Hot and Cold.
1) If water connections are on top of tank, look for red marking or word HOT that shows where hot water pipe connects. Look for blue marking or word COLD that shows cold water connection.
2) If water connections are on side of tank, cold water connects to bottom one, and hot connects to top.

3) If hot and cold are reversed, the tank will not work.
Pipes on top of tank: cold water enters tank and is sent to bottom of tank in a long tube called the dip tube. This means the cold is on the bottom since hot water rises to the top. The hot water exits top of tank.
Pipes on side of tank: You want cold water to enter bottom, so hot water naturally rises to the top outlet.

WHEN I RUN MY SINK IT DRAINS INTO MY DISHWASHER BOTTOM. I HAVE SNAKED THE HOLE AND IT STILL FILLS THE BOTTOM THEN I RUN IT EMPTY THEN FILL AND RUN AGAIN. HELP

The dishwasher drain line that connects to the garbage disposal or pipe under the sink should be looped above the height of disposal or pipe to prevent
sink water from backflowing into dishwasher.

Most dishwashers have some form of internal backflow preventer inside the water sump assy..

Aprilaire 700 leaks water from bottom of case

Install new water panels yearly. On the new panel make sure that the painted dot on the edge of the panel is on the top when you install it.
Always clean the distribution tray and the frame. Make sure the notch on the edge of the distribution tray faces away from the furnace. Make sure the humidifier was installed level. Keep the drain tube opening clear. Insure there is no blockages in the drain tube.
Good luck

My matsui mf2w/a dishwasher sticks during cycle. normally about 10 minutes into the wash. i can move it on manually but the wash is poor. the water does not appear to be heating

check the safety thermostat which is located at the bottom of the dishwasher. you have to remove the bottom plate, and then you will find easily the thermostat-KSD201/PF 90. you have to reset this probably.there is a red wax dot in the middle this thermostat, so remove it and use a needle to press a very small button inside. the heating element is working well probably.you can measure resistance on it to be sure.

Hobart AM-14 dishwasher

it has a time out function once float is up is your water pressure correct. if to low it will first few cycles be low but after the will get to correct level and that is to the top of grey plastic drain pipe it cannot or should not be higher then the Gray drain pipe top, it overflows out that any extra rinse goes down it. check the o-ring on bottom of that grey pipe you could be leaking out the drain in between loads you come back and half the water is gone.
