I noticed finals are mosfet they will take alot of punishment from a bad antenna system match "high SWRs If the meter is moving at all on keyup i would not suspect finals. Finals seldom degrade in power they just quit. The driver for the Final transistor another transistor can produce low transmit power with a failed Final.

You say it is in a Dumptruck lots of vibration and dust. It could be cold solder joints..cracks in solder and corrsion in cracks reducing voltage to components. Dust or dirt in trimmer pots which are varible resistors.

Open case on solder side (top of radio)and tighten phillips head screws dont over tighten these boards can be fragile. After opening that side you will understand the dust issue.

I suggest checking the easy stuff first.

1. check power leads
2. Swap mic.
3. check coax connections.
4. check coax for damage.
5. swap antenna they can have broken wires.
6. make sure the plastic insulator on top that antenna is inserted in is on top and coax side is contacting antenna mount for ground.

Well ive got a cobra 29 with a RF85X installed on it, it worked great for awhile then all of a sudden it stop transmitting took it to cb shop and repairman found the problem was a cap or diode which should...

Have you checked the SWR's.. also some caps help with the roll off of stray emissions . hopefully he took out the right one. also if you have low amperage going to the radio. it will cause problems. normal cobra 29 2-5amps and the factory pwr cord is adequate for that amperage now your pulling 80watts + make sure you have more amps to handle it. watts/13.8volts=AMPS needed. soo say if your radio is doing 100w/13volts you will need 7.7amps basically in theory.. amps- good grounds- good swr's that shop should of checked your antenna for free.. we do here in texas.

Cb on 1994Goldwing doesn't work.

Just off the top of my head, It sounds like a bad microphone connection. When you press the transmit button on the mike. it is supposed to shut off your recieve while you talk, so you dont feed back through the speakers. From what you write it sounds like the recieve is being shut down, but your voice isnt getting through. I would try a differnt mike, or if you are handy try taking the connector off the mike apart and look for a broke or loose connection.

Cant transmit

Hello Darren, Yes it sounds like the mic is wired bass ackwards,,! A cobra 25 mic wiring is
PIN #1- Shield or ground wire
PIN#2- Audio or Transmit modulation
PIN #3- Transmit or Dead Key
PIN #4- Receive Audio.
When your keying the mic, the RX wires are being connected to make the RX work,,,
*** Let me know how you get along with it. Either buy a new mic wired for your radio or you or someone comfortable with soldering needs to resolder the correct wires back on the mic plug,,,Like I said, let me know and have a great day,, Mechanic is back quiet!
