Hi. My phone seems to be having problems accessing my messages and phone contacts. Also the phone seems to be lagging a lot; if I press a button, it takes about 5 seconds to respond. When I try accessing my messages, a bar appears saying "messages initializing" which after a while disappears and goes back to the root menu. I can sometimes get through to my list of phone contacts but most of the time, a bar similar to the messages one appears except it remains there indefinitely until I exit back. Also when I turn on my phone, an icon of a SIM card appears with a small arrow on top pointing upwards. Does that normally appear or does it indicate a problem with the SIM card? Thanks for your time.

That's weird, my phone just started working normally again. I think someone sending me a txt message caused it to work again.

Hi,

In case your handset has a processor this problem should not arise. Pls check if you have a lot of data stored in your mobile like mp3, mp4, videos and lot of softwares.
Pls try and remove the stuff that you do not use frequently and best option would be to copy the data on a PC or hard drive get your memory card formatted and then download only the selected applications.

Hope this should work.

Pls note to copy the data on a hard disc before formatting your memory card.

Take your time to rate my suggestion and best of luck.

Regards,

Richee

Hi. i have a nokia e63. i've been using it for a long time but now i got a problem with my phonebook. everytime i want to look on my contacts it always show sign in and sign up message. i was't able to see...

To access your phone book (the annoying way) is to open the contacts so it shows the signin sign up buttons then push the right button on the directional pad so it selects the dropdown box at the top of the screen. then press the center button and then contacts. There is a way to disable this but i've forgotten. try using google to find out how.

It seems that my iphone 3g is processing lot of things. so , it seem to be lagged. Does it have like reset button or anything?

Restoration of iPhone to original factory defaults will likely to fix all problem, with the downside that all data and information stored on your phone will be lost. Normally iTunes will make a backup automatically when you connect and sync the iPhone with the program, however, it’s still a good recommendation to copy out and backup everything that you may need on the phone before proceed to restore the iPhone.
To restore iPhone and reset the phone to default factory settings, follow these steps:
1.Turn off iPhone – Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the red slider. Ignore this step if your ifone already off. 2.Press and hold down the Home button for about 10 seconds until a yellow triangle with a text which says Please Connect to iTunes appears. 3.Plug the iPhone into Mac or Windows pc .Release the button if you haven’t. 4.Run and open iTunes if it’s not already opened yet. 5.iTunes will prompt a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK. 6.You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore. 7.Wait for the full restoration process to complete, and the iPhone will be back to the original settings state as when it left the manufacturing factory, typically a working phone again if you face any problem, unless it’s hardware related problem.

Press center button to enter address book 4. Press RIGHT select button (upper right button with line through it) to select options. 5. Press down FIVE (5) times to go to Advanced 6. Press center button to go into Advanced 7. Press down FIVE (5) times to go to Copy To SmartChip 8. Press LEFT select button to enter 9. Press LEFT select button to select "Copy All" 10. PTT SCREEN HAS UNABLE TO ADD CONTACT MESSAGE:

I had this problem and we needed to contact our cellular company to verify settings. After some time looking into the problem they said it was a hardware malfunction and swapped phones for us. I think there must be a solution to this problem that the cell representatives did not know about.

I530 text messaging issue

To be able to send and reply to text messages you must have NOL net access. Press menu(left of the left arrow key), scroll to net, press ok(if an error message appears contact nextel for internet service), scroll to text messaging, press ok. From there you can write, read and reply to text messages. The reason for having to do it this way is because this phone as well as others with nextel were being produce when text was first being introduced to nextel, at that time motorola wasn't making nextel phones with the option of text, so it was up to the provider to give text access(via. net).
