SOURCE: Hook xbox 360 up to philips mx5100/37 home theatre

Try Putting the "prongs" (RCA connectors into the front AV socket of the Philips System.

You could hook it up at the back but that requires the xbox to SCART lead. (Scart is the 2 pin socket on the back (2) that are about 5cm long

If you aren't fussy then just plug it into the front and select the front av input and you are away!
Happy Gaming!

Testimonial: "Thanks! We were trying to hook it up to the back and not the front av socket. Very much appreciated!"

I have a panasonic tv and i need to know how to hook up home theather system lenoxx electronics model HT 3915

Hi, the Panasonic t.v. more than likely has more than one kind of output. One of them should be actually lit up with a red glow around the edges, that is the fiber optic digital sound output. It's called a" TOSLINK" connector and is plugged into a matching jack on the surround sounds rear panel. The t.v. may also have a "LINE OUT", " T.V. AUDIO OUT " or " FIXED AUDIO " output this may be in the form of a small 3.5mm stereo headphone jack ( i still call them 1/8 in. plugs) this you can plug into the surround sounds line input on the back panel. If the line input on back of the theater system is rca just use a stereo headphone plug to rca adapter. I hope this helped and thanks for choosing FixYa, good luck-Prodzilla

How do i connect it to my tv so i can have surrounf sound when watching tv

if you look at the instruction manuakl that came with the theater system:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/RCA-RTD3133-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/23608dj495/t/2/

under connections and set up there are two ways of connecting up a tv

hopefully your tv has a audio out phono jack
using phono jacks connect the audio out from the tv to the AUX in the theather system

then select AUX in the theater system and then press the surround button to select sound modes

if your tv does not have a audio out jack look for a optical digital out socket in the tv and then use that to connect to a optical digital in in the theather system

if it has red/white RCA style inputs on the back you can just buy a cord that will plug into the headphone of your MP3 and into the RCA jacks on the stereo.
