Photos are printing predominantly in yellow with most programs however microsoft office 2000 seems to work ok, i am running windows 7

In order to find the solution faster please try the computer hooked up to an alternate printer(take it to work and print there or a friends) OR get another computer and print to the printer. If the printer still prints out mostly yellow then their is a problem with the printer. If it prints out fine then we need to check the settings on your applications. Comment back and i will provide more help!

We have a Lexmark 7170 printer. We have had no issues with it up until last week when it stopped printing. When you try to print it says printing but nothing happens or else it will say Communication...

Hi there, I have a solution for you. Unplug the printer/scanner for 30min. then plug it back in again.
This will reset all functions. The usb cable was good to start with, you didn't have to replace it..
When you run a print over another print it will jam up memory in printer. Clear all print jobs and you will be good to go.

Canon MP210 Paper Jam

A common issue is moisture. As the relative humidity changes, the paper will absorb some of the excess moisture. (Ink jets don't get as hot as other printers; but they do have temperature changes during operation.)

Unfortunately, the only solution that I have ever found is to use paper from a just opened package. Try to keep only enough paper in the printer for a short duration of printing (1-2 weeks). Keep the rest of an open package of paper somewhere else where the temperature and humidity stays fairly constant.

I hope this helps.

My CLP-350 Samsung printer only prints black ink on half the page! While the other colours all print perfectly, the black ink prints strong and clear on the right side of the page but as you approach the...

Here is my solution, hope it will solve your problem.

From your post, I believe your CLP-350N printer has enough black toner. The black cartridge is on the far right side of the printer, so the black toner is harder to go to left side of the roller than right side. Everytime we start the printer, it will move some toner of each color to the roller before it shows ready to print.

Because we always use B&W printing when we start the printer, but less Color printing. The result is there are always enough toner on the 3 color rollers, but the black toner is lean on the black roller. When this gets worse, the left side of the black roller may hardly get any toner at all -- so it only print black on the right side fo paper.

Step by step solution
(CAUTION: Never loss balance while tilting printer! You may drop and damage your printer! Hold the printer firmly all the time! Ask someone to help you if needed!)

Here, front of the printer is where you can access the cartridge, back of the printer is where you connect the power cord and USB cable, left is your left, right is your right.

1.Lift the front to keep the printer tilt to its back at about 45 degree
2.Power on printer while it's tilted back, wait untill green light is on
3.Open the front door, red light will be on, then close the door, printer will start up again, wait untill green light is on
4.Repeat step 3 once again, then put the printer back to level position
5.Lift the right to keep the printer tilt to its left at about 45 degree
6.Open the front door, red light will be on, then close the door, printer will start up again, wait untill green light is on
7.Repeat step 6 once again, then put the printer back to level position
8.Print some test page to see if there is any improvement of black print quality.(Hold the printer button for 3-5 seconds, it will print the test page.)

You may try several times and print several pages each time before you finally cure the problem.

Good luck! And do it safely!

Printer is connected but does not print

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the following things first---
· The printer cover is closed and the rear access door or optional duplexer is attached.
· The printer is connected to the power source and turned on.
· The cable connections are secure and the cartridges are correctly installed.
· The paper or other media is correctly loaded in the in tray.
Now check the printer cable connection: If the printer cable is attached to a USB hub, a printing conflict might exist. Use one of the following methods to resolve the conflict:
· Attach the printer USB cable directly to your computer.
· When printing, do not use other USB devices that are attached to the hub.
Now verify if the printer is connected to the correct USB port: If the computer is configured to use both the back and front USB ports on the printer, then you might be printing to the wrong port. The computer has two versions of the printer driver: one for the front USB port and one for the back USB port. If you are connected to the back USB port, but select the printer driver that is associated with the front USB port, the printer will not print. In the application that you are printing from, click File and then click Print. The Print dialog box opens. The Print dialog box displays two versions of the printer driver. Select the version that is associated with the port to which you are printing. The issue will be resolved.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Canon pixma 1200

well with canon ip1200, its very easy to solve. And here it goes -- turn on the printer and place the paper to the feeder in order to print.now try to print a file by giving print command.now it will show that "waste ink absorber full" error. At this situation, disconnect the power cable attached at the back of the printer.Keep holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds.without releasing, turn on the printer and when the power lid glows then on release the power button.turn the printer on again..now the error does not appears again.you can print your file easily.
but this is not a complete solution bcoz everyday in order to print, you have to bear the same procedure.
