Your camera most likely has a short from some screws that get loose inside of these cameras. There's a really good place in the states that only services Powershots. They are not expensive at all and they do wonderful work. It's $89 with them for parts, labor servicing for the camera included. If you're in the states, they give you the free Priority Shipping going back, I'm sure it's more for shipping back to Norway. One of the neat things with them is that not only do they do wonderful work, they include the no power correction on any G9 they service, that way the problem doesn't keep happening. The
Canon G9 has a design defect, two screws fall out inside the camera and
short out the fuse. If you've never had it fixed for no power before
this is most likely what has happened to your camera.
Do a Google
search for "canon g9 no power repair" and you will see a full repair
service including return shipping of your camera for just $85. Return shipping to Norway is extra.
