I have two Bravia TV's identical with 2 remotes both RM-YD028. Both remotes work with one TV, but one TV will not work with either remote. It appears the remote is okay.

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. yes, it has the one! you need to go to the menu, setup portion of that. you'll see: clock set, timers, etc. That's where you will find it. A bit complicated, but possible. If your remote lacks "sleep" button, get the one with it.

Remove the batteries from the remote and wait 5 minutes or more. After waiting, insert the batteries again. The remote should now work. If it's still not working, the remote is probably defective. If the only thing not reacting is the audio, then the audio board or the main board has gone bad. Enter the model number and tv make on you tube to get more detailed info.
