My amana unit, is showing and f1 signal and is not working at all now

This appears to be a control board or touch pad issue. Try pulling the plug on it, or turning off at the breaker for an hour.

If that doesn't fix it, call for service. Control boards are expensive and you need correct diagnosis and warranty on the work and the part.

Personal opinion: Unless you are a trained Amana repair technician, I suggest you locate a business near where you reside which is an authorized repair center for you type of Amana appliance, contact the business, and arrange a repair technician to come and evaluate (and repair, I hope) the appliance.

Evedently F1 is an indoor thermistor problem. This is the sensor that is at the indoor coil. Normally a wire it lead that is attached to the front of the indoor coil. This lead is either unplugged or damaged/malfunctioning. Found this on "manualslib.com" but I'm unable to copy the link.

Replace black indoor ambient thermistor or wireless remote thermostat.

F1 code means a shorted keypad. Replace the membrane or control, depending how it's available

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F1-1 in your Amana means that the temperature while cooking exceeded. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. F1=Electronic range control failure

It is telling you may have a fauilty control...need to replace control or EOC.

If you are an novice working over the control board. please do take the help of an authorised technician doing that.

The owner's manaual states that F1 means Control Malfunction.
The manual recommends the following:
Press Oven cancel pad or disconnecting power supply may eliminate F code. If failure continues contact an authorised dealer.
