all batteries that old are bad. then bad HDD is next or now.

To get the correct drivers for your Dell Inspiron n5010 I suggest you go to the link below. This is the Dell Driver download page. You'll notice that you have 3 options for getting the correct drivers for your computer. The best option is to enter your "Service Tag" number. Usually this is located on the bottom of your computer.

you will have to reinstall the drivers and the sofware in your Dell. I think since the touch pad is not working if you use the cursor keys and proceed to the control panel and try to restore the laptop, then if this will reset to an earlier date, then it will solve the issue.
