1. Locate the buttons for volume and menu on the bottom right of the TVs front panel
2. Press one of the volume buttons once and hold the menu button until it says "Standard"
3. If done correctly it should reverse the problem.

hope this helps

You have set up your tv in store (demo) mode. Go to settings then plug and play and scan channels again but this time select home mode before it searches for channels.

Samsung series 5 lcd tv

Look for setup in the menu . See if it is set to store or demo mode. Does it do this on all sources? have you connected any new devices? Go to Samsung web sight and look for software upgrade for this model. Model and version number are on back side of set. If none of these things work replace the main board.

How do I keep my samsung ln46c550j1f in wide screen picture size? Every time I switch it to wide screen it turns back 16.9 screen size every hour or so.

Hi
Your TV is set to "Store Demo Mode", this means people can play with them in the shop and it always returns back to a normal picture every hour or so. Here's how to fix it :)
Press Source - select TV.
Press Menu - Select the Setup menu (its the picture of the cog on the left 4th picture down)
Select "Plug and Play"... the default pin is 0 0 0 0
Select your language
Make sure "HOME USE" has a yellow box around it.
Select your country.
Scan in your channels if you need to?
Fixed :)
By the way... I have the same tv ;)

How to remove auto visualisation n digital noise filter on and digital noise filter off features from screen of samsung lcd 21 inch....this feature is always there on the screen..........

My TV had the same problem and I have managede to get rid of it. The solution is very simple. This displays mean that your TV is in the " Store Demo" mode and any changes you make will last only for 30 minutes and when the TV is turned off the settings will change back to the normal. Whether you TV is in the "Store Demo" mode can be confirmed by pressing the "Info" button on the remote and you will see that "store demo" appears on the screen. To change this mode to the "home mode" you will have to press the "Volume button" on the TV and when the volume sign appears on the screen then you will have to press the "Menu" button on the TV (not on the remote)and hold it down for about 7to 10 seconds. This changes your TV mode from "store demo" mode to the home mode. Confrim whether the store demo mode has been put off by pressing the "Info" button on the remote to see whether the store demo sign appears on the screen. The store demo is set by sales persons in the shops so that any demonstratation/changes that they make while showing to customers will be temporary as the settings revert back to the original.

WHEN IM WATCHING TV, ICONS APEARING FROM THE LEFT OF SCREEN ,DISPAYING INFO ABOUT LED TV SERIES THEN ANOTHER ICON APPERARS ECO FREINDLY AND SLIMLINE TV. THEN IT DISAPPEARS AND AFTER A FEW VSECONDS IT...

I do not see a Samsung TV with the model UE40B7020. (What country are you in?) I do have documentation for the UE40C7000WW.

Is the TV in Shop Demo Mode? Press the Info button on the remote to see the mode. If it reads "Store Demo", try resetting it. Press the Volume button on the TV or the remote. While the Volume circle is displayed on the screen, press and hold the Menu button on the TV for about 7 seconds (the remote will not work for this). Home Mode should display on the TV screen.

Alternatively, you can set this from the TV menu system. Make sure that the current input is TV. Press Menu then select Setup (up/down arrows followed by Enter). Select the Plug and Play sub menu and follow the on-screen directions to reset the tv to the Home Mode.

The FAQ for the TV that I used as a reference is available at: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/UE40C7000WW#

I hope this helps.

How to emove the demo on screen ?

Removing Your TV from Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode

First, confirm your TV is in Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode:

1. Press the INFO button on your remote control. A list of settings appears.
2. See if the Picture Mode setting is set to Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode.

There are three methods for removing your TV from Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode. If the first method does not work, try the second or third method.
Method 1

To remove your TV from Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode, follow these steps:

1. Press the Volume button on the side panel of your TV. If your TV does not have a side panel, press the Volume button on the front panel. The TV displays the volume bar.
2. Press the Menu button on the side panel of your TV for about seven seconds. Again, if your TV does not have a side panel, press the Menu button on the front panel. If Dynamic or Dynamic Mode is displayed on the screen, your TV has been removed from Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode.

Note: You may want to press the INFO button on your remote again to confirm you TV is no longer in Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode.

Method 2

1. Press the Volume button on your remote.

Method 3

1. Press and hold the Volume button on your TV. The TV displays the volume bar.
2. As you are holding the Volume button, press the Menu button on the side panel of your TV for about seven seconds.

My Samsung LNT3253H LCD TV has suddenly started changing its own settings (e.g. picture mode keeps switching to ''dynamic'' and the ''light effect'' keeps setting itself to ''always on''). Any thoughts on...

Hi,

Its in "Shop Mode".

Change your source to TV (analogue), now press menu>find "Plug and Play" and select it and runs through the setup and selct "Home" prompted and not "Shop".

That should sort its out, when its in shop mode its doesn't matter how many times you make changes, when you power it off it will go back to the original shop settings, this feature was built in to allow shops the have all show TV's to run at optimal settings and if a customer played about with the settings it would matter as they are reset again when the TV is switched off and the store staff don't have to go around resetting all the TV's at the end of the day.

Thanks

Picture Mode reverts always to Dynamic after several minutes

The set was a store demo, and the options were set so they could not be adjusted. On instruction from Samsung I pressed MENU and VOLUME buttons on the side of the set and hold for 7 seconds The display reverts to Standard from Dynamic. The Remote Options button showed Store Demo, but now shows Standard. All memory functions seem to function now. Thanks for your help.
