I have a new samsung printer all in one clx 3180 fn, i installed her in my pc's through the installation cd and made the printing test over the network (wlan) everyting was ok. then i tried to scan a document also it works. but after that the printer appear offline on the network and i'm not able to fix it. so i need your help

on pc this may done at printer and fax setting, right click on printer icon,select printing preference,click on paper, select paper source and size, this may scrolled and clicked on the envelopes. then click on apply.

There is a small led inside the printer which decides if the tank is in place or not. Clean the lamp and the tank

Go to devices and printers in the Control Panel.

Right Click and choose Printer Properties.

Click on the Ports Tab

With the Network PC port ticked and highlighted click on Configure Port.

Change "spot" from Local printer to Network and click Browse.

Click on Auto Detection and this will find your printer. Select your printer then Close (there is no save button).

You can now print wirelessly again J

If it's virtually brand new, why can you not invoke the warranty to demand a replacement?

go to Printers
choose Samsung Clx rigth click
unmark the check Use printer offline

Try printing a test page
rigth click Properties
click on
Print test page

Follow these steps:

1. Hookup your multifuncional scanner.
2. Windows will recognize a new hardware
3. Install dirver and software taht came on the disc with CLX 3180
4. Put a document you want to scan into a scanner
5. Start software that you installed
6. Press Start Scan

if the printer is flashing developer home then the developer unit is not situated correctly or the contacts are dirty causing the printer to not recognize the dev unit clean the contacts with denatured alcohol on the dev unit and where it makes contact within the printer and power back up.
failing that the dev unit may have expired requiring a new one to be installed.

When this happened, I took the tank out and shook it out into a garbage can (do this outside and be very careful not to breathe the dust). I then took a shop vac and held the hose at the opening while blowing compressed air into the tank. Wiggle the air nozzle around and you'll get out 99% of the toner. Pay extra attention to the sensor optics (plastic bulges on the sides of the tank).These need to be clean since the printer knows when the tank is full because the toner blocks light shining from one side of the tank to the other

Reinstall the tank and be sure it is fully inserted. If they printer is still on, turn it OFF. Close the front door of the machine and turn it back on.

Continue printing.
